Position Description: Join Alcon’s Vision Care Manufacturing team in Johns Creek, Georgia, for a Spring/Summer 2027 co-op with the LS Process Excellence team. You will gain hands-on experience supporting manufacturing performance improvements, evaluating technical solutions, and helping implement changes in a state-of-the-art contact lens production facility. The Johns Creek facility is expanding its advanced manufacturing capabilities to meet growing demand, manage product complexity, and increase flexibility across contact lens products. In this role, you will work with production technicians, mechanics, engineers, and managers to identify opportunities, analyze performance, and support sustainable improvements. Key Responsibilities: Support LS3 overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) improvement initiatives by reviewing performance data and identifying loss-reduction opportunities. Plan, document, and execute engineering studies to evaluate proposed process or equipment improvements. Analyze study results, summarize findings, and present recommendations to project stakeholders. Develop change requests and supporting documentation for approved concepts. Collaborate across production, maintenance, engineering, and management to implement and sustain improvements. Minimum Qualifications: Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to co-op, and at least one additional semester following r co-op. Must be pursuing at least a Bachelors degree in Communications, Human Resources, Project management, Learning & Development, Marketing, or related major. Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0 Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects) Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated) Ability to commit to a spring + summer co-op that is full time (40 hrs per week) Preferred Qualifications: Ability to analyze discrete and continuous data, identify trends, and communicate conclusions. Strong learning agility and the ability to become productive quickly in a manufacturing environment. Clear written and verbal communication with production technicians, mechanics, engineers, and managers. Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with appropriate guidance. Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and physics principles. Basic proficiency with computers, data-analysis tools, or programming; experience with Excel, Power BI, Python, MATLAB, or similar tools is a plus.
