This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand our cross-functional collaboration efforts. The person selected for this role must be based in the United States. As the IT Program Director supporting Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures, you will lead technology strategy and execution across the full transaction lifecycle, from due diligence and sign-to-close planning through Day 1 readiness, integration or separation, and post-close value realization. You will manage multiple concurrent transactions, including tuck-in acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, carveouts, and divestitures, while serving as a trusted advisor to Corporate Development, business leaders, and senior IT executives spanning Medtronic’s transaction portfolio. CAREERS THAT CHANGE LIVES · Lead IT strategy, due diligence, risk assessment, and execution across multiple concurrent tuck-in acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, carveouts, and divestitures. · Develop and execute IT integration or separation strategies aligned to transaction objectives, business priorities, risk profile, and value creation goals. · Drive sign-to-close planning, Day 1 readiness, post-close stabilization, and value realization while balancing speed, cost, risk, and enterprise standards. · Guide business and technology strategy and executive decision-making across applications, data, commercial, ERP, manufacturing, quality, operations and supply chain, R&D, infrastructure, cybersecurity domains. · Serve as a trusted advisor to Corporate Development, business leaders, and senior IT executives by proactively identifying risks, driving accountability, resolving business and technology decisions, influencing transaction outcomes. · Lead executive governance, steering committees, global matrixed teams, and strategic partners to drive accountability, deliver committed business outcomes, and ensure transparent execution against plans and milestones. · Build and continuously improve the IT M&A execution system, including playbooks, governance, deal data models, operating models, and execution tools that increase speed, consistency, accountability, risk management, and value realization across Medtronic’s transaction portfolio. MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience with an advanced degree 7+ years of managerial experience Experience leading technology due diligence, integration, or separation activities for acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, carveouts, or divestitures. Experience leading global, cross-functional teams and influencing decisions with Corporate Development, business leaders, corporate functions, and senior IT executives. Experience evaluating and transforming business processes, operating models, and technology capabilities to support transaction objectives, business outcomes, and value creation goals. NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications) Experience in M&A, post-merger integration, separation, business transformation, private equity portfolio operations, or technology strategy initiatives Experience in medical technology, healthcare, or other regulated industry. Experience with ERP, commercial, manufacturing, quality, data, cybersecurity, and related enterprise platforms. Experience operating within a large, global, matrixed organization. Experience directing strategic advisory partners. Master of Business Administration. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
