Project Role : Custom Software Engineer Project Role Description : Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. Must have skills : Manufacturing Engineering MES Good to have skills : NA Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: The desired profile should have worked on PSI Metals MES suite with 6+ years of overall experience in metals manufacturing domain and must have hands-on experience on at least one end-to-end implementation project. Key Responsibilities Work as a SME for PSI Metals MES, participate in solutioning for global proposals and pre-sales activities Must demonstrate competence in the ability to problem-solve and work through complex business and technical situations Ability to support, maintain, and enhance deployed PSI Metals solutions across production and quality modules Technical Experience Must have strong working knowledge of PSI Metals modules such as Production Planning & Scheduling (PPS), Quality Management, Material Tracking, and Yield Management Should have hands-on experience in PSI Metals configuration, customization, and workflow setup Must have worked on at least one full-cycle PSI Metals implementation — covering requirement analysis, technical design, configuration, testing, and go-live deployment Experience integrating PSI Metals with ERP systems (preferably SAP) for material master, production orders, and quality notifications Should have knowledge of PSI Metals interfaces with shopfloor systems such as SCADA, historians, and weighing/measuring equipment Familiarity with data exchange mechanisms used in PSI Metals (flat files, web services, database interfaces) Strong understanding of metals manufacturing processes — hot rolling, cold rolling, casting, or finishing lines Must have experience in end-to-end implementation — right from requirement analysis, mapping to technical design, development, testing, and deployment Understanding of complete E2E integration with ERP, MES, and shopfloor/automation layers Professional Experience Ability to build and maintain good relationships with clients, operational managers, and colleagues Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams Good team management skills with ability to work closely with other technical and functional peers Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 6 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering MES. - This position is based at our Bengaluru/Pune office. - A 15 years full time education is required. 15 years full time education About Accenture Accenture is a leading global professional services company that helps the world’s leading businesses, governments and other organizations build their digital core, optimize their operations, accelerate revenue growth and enhance citizen services—creating tangible value at speed and scale.
