The Director partners closely with IIS market research colleagues to ensure primary research is integrated into forecast assumptions and strategic recommendations. The Director is a strategic thought partner to cross-functional leadership teams, including the Brand/Marketing Team, Finance, Data Science, Performance Analytics, Global Access and Value, and others. Through patient-based forecast models, competitive intelligence, and integrated primary and secondary analysis, the Director will identify business questions, develop and communicate relevant forecasts and scenario analyses, and embed an external market and customer point of view to drive the strategic direction of brand business and lifecycle management. This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. The successful candidate will join Insights & Strategy colleagues who are constantly driving the business through proactive thought leadership, innovative analytic and AI-enabled capabilities, and the ability to influence and communicate complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways. Key Responsibilities Role definition and key accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Forecasting & Strategy (Primary) Lead the development and communication of patient-based demand forecasts for the three-product Breast Cancer portfolio across indications and lines of therapy to inform short- and long-term asset and business unit planning, including latest-estimate cycles. Forecasts are developed in collaboration with IIS Breast Cancer colleagues who support forecasting as a secondary focus. Partner with cross-functional leadership to balance corporate goals with insights-based market opportunity through multi-disciplinary analysis of primary and secondary data. Develop forecast scenarios and risk/opportunity assessments reflecting key clinical and commercial events (e.g., data readouts, label changes, competitive entries, access dynamics) to support brand planning and investment decisions. Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Access, and Global colleagues to ensure alignment on brand opportunity and forecast assumptions. Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Brand/Marketing Team and cross-functional leadership teams, providing a holistic, objective, and analytical viewpoint of market opportunities and dynamics. Lead the annual Situational Analysis process with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Present insights and forecasts to senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence and shape brand strategy and investment decisions. Champion the adoption of AI-enabled tools and workflows to modernize forecasting and scenario planning. Build repeatable, automated processes that elevate the team from production work toward interpretation and strategic guidance. Market Research & Brand Insights (Secondary) Serve as an insights leader to Commercial stakeholders, driving strategic thinking by answering key business questions that define commercial strategies and tactics and inform investment decisions. Identify business questions where primary market research is the right tool; scope, commission, and oversee qualitative and quantitative studies in partnership with IIS Breast Cancer market research colleagues and vendors. Integrate primary research findings with secondary data (e.g., patient claims, EMR, sales, payer information) and forecast assumptions to deliver one comprehensive, triangulated point of view. Ensure primary market research is deployed selectively and sequenced appropriately — leveraging existing knowledge and secondary sources first to maximize business impact per research dollar.
