To strengthen our Procurement team, we are looking for a Buyer with fluency in Croatian and Serbian languages and hands-on experience working in purchasing. Step into the heart of procurement as our next IM&S (Indirect Materials and Services) Buyer—where every day brings dynamic challenges and real impact! In this role, you’ll be hands-on with the entire Procure-to-Pay process for indirect goods and services, working at the intersection of technology and international business. You’ll engage with a diverse network of colleagues and suppliers from around the world, ensuring seamless order creation, tracking deliveries, and keeping everything running smoothly for our ABB Electrification Business Area. You will be mainly accountable for:Managing the end-to-end purchasing process, including launching purchase orders, confirming deliveries, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure timely and effective execution. Aligning supplier orders with internal requirements, ensuring quality, timely delivery, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness, while building strong day-to-day relationships with approved suppliers and collaborating with local and international teams. Overseeing goods receipt verification and invoice processing, ensuring accurate and smooth execution of procurement transactions. Supporting supplier scouting together with Category teams and managing the supplier onboarding process through SAP Ariba. Supporting strategic sourcing activities by executing sourcing strategies, leading tactical negotiations and small RFQs, analyzing spend, and comparing supplier proposals to drive value for the organization. Driving digitalization, automation, and continuous improvement within procurement processes, while collaborating in cross-functional and virtual teams and contributing to international projects. Qualifications for the role:You have at least 1 year of experience in purchasing or buyer roles, with a good understanding of procurement processes. You are highly adept in SAP Purchasing Module and SAP Ariba, with hands-on experience using both systems. You possess strong Excel and digital skills, with an openness to using new technologies and innovative ways of working. You are at ease communicating in Croatian and Serbian at C1 level and Business English at B2/C1 level, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are proactive, customer-focused, and solution-oriented, demonstrating adaptability, flexibility, and openness to innovation. You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in diverse teams; experience working in international and virtual team environments would be considered an advantage.
