Job description

We are expanding our Reliability Lab team and are seeking a Test Engineer I to support the testing and reliability evaluation of Molex products. In this role, you will perform laboratory testing, analyze data, operate specialized equipment, and develop technical documentation. You will collaborate with laboratory technicians and test engineers across the organization while contributing to product quality and continuous improvement. Our Team You will join a global Reliability Lab organization focused on confirming product performance and reliability through disciplined testing, accurate data analysis, and technical documentation. The team works cross-functionally and shares knowledge across laboratory locations to strengthen testing capabilities and deliver consistent results. What You Will Do Perform different types of laboratory testing in accordance with customer specifications and product technical documentation. Prepare test reports that clearly document the test methods, results, observations, and conclusions. Set up and operate standard and custom test equipment, including electronic voltage, current, and data acquisition systems. Support Measurement System Analysis, equipment calibration, preventive maintenance activities, and internal laboratory projects. Participate in cross-functional training with laboratory technicians and test engineers across the global organization. Apply basic problem-solving tools, including 5 Whys and fishbone diagrams, to investigate testing issues. Summarize test results using a Laboratory Information Management System. Review test results with test engineers and communicate abnormalities or inconsistencies. Support Molex Total Quality Management and applicable quality, laboratory, and environmental management systems by following approved policies and procedures. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. At least one year of laboratory testing experience. Basic ability to communicate in English. Experience setting up or operating electronic test and measurement equipment. Experience using data acquisition systems for voltage or current measurements. Experience working with environmental or temperature chambers. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work hands-on with small components. What Will Put You Ahead Experience with manual soldering techniques. Experience supporting equipment calibration, maintenance, or Measurement System Analysis activities. Experience using a Laboratory Information Management System. Knowledge of quality or laboratory management systems, including IATF 16949 or ISO/IEC 17025. Familiarity with structured problem-solving tools, including 5 Whys and fishbone diagrams. Current passport and visa documents.
