ABOUT THE ROLE Trustly is looking for a motivated and experienced regulatory compliance professional to support the development and day-to-day running of SlimPay's regulatory compliance programme in Paris. SlimPay operates as a licensed payment institution providing account-to-account and recurring payment services across Europe, which places us squarely within a fast-moving and heavily regulated industry. This role is responsible for helping SlimPay hold the right licences, meet its regulatory obligations in every market where it operates, and move efficiently into new markets as they open. Reporting to the EU/UK Chief Compliance Officer, you will: - Support the CCO in executing SlimPay's regulatory compliance strategy - Help obtain and maintain the licences and authorisations required to support the business - Provide second-line oversight over the key processes on which SlimPay relies, including the mapping of licences to products - Help provide SlimPay's Board and Management Team with the reporting, advice, and assurance they need to exercise effective oversight of compliance operations (three-lines-of-defence model) WHAT YOU’LL DO CORE REGULATORY MANAGEMENT - Horizon Scanning, Obligations and Advocacy: Conduct horizon scanning, report analysis to stakeholders and the Board. Translate new and amended regulations into key obligations, and lead or oversee implementation where product changes are required. Support the Policy team and CCO in engagement with policymakers, regulators, or trade associations and provide input to consultation papers. - Corporate Governance and Board Reporting: Regular and ad hoc compliance reporting to the Slimpay Board and relevant Committees and Management Team. Prepare and present regulatory and compliance matters for information, approval, and oversight. Track action items, escalations, and open decisions through to closure. - Supervisory Engagement, Examinations, and Remediation: Work with the CCO to prepare for regulatory examinations, inspections, and reviews, including information requests and on-site logistics. Manage findings and resulting Management Action Plans (MAPs) to resolution. Keep internal stakeholders informed, and seek direction where required. - Regulatory Reporting and Recordkeeping: Maintain the regulatory reporting schedule and register for SlimPay. Own the end-to-end reporting cycle: data collection, review, preparation, internal approval, and filing. - Outsourcing: Oversee any outsourcing and intragroup arrangements supporting the other entities, whether provided by affiliates or third-party vendors. - Risk Events, Incidents, and Breaches: - Define and periodically review the framework for reportable incidents and breaches. - Participate in risk event and incident escalation processes, including support to assess impact. - Manage all regulatory notifications of reportable incidents/breaches, including root-cause analysis and follow-up. Maintain the reportable incidents and breaches register, including detail and resolution. - Support responses to customer complaints and escalations routed through regulatory ombudsmen and agencies. COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT - Support the implementation of the Compliance Operating Model for one or more compliance domains, and provide support for other compliance domains as required. STRATEGIC WORKSTREAMS – SUPPORTING THE CCO - Licensing, Permissions, and Authorisations: - Contribute to the licensing strategy and roadmap for SlimPay, including supporting business cases. - Support the assessment of licensing needs (e.g., from new products or to solve pain points) and processes for the application of new licences, permissions, and variations of permission. - Develop and maintain a licensing fit-for-purpose map by product, service, and jurisdiction. Maintain a licence maintenance and renewal plan, schedule, and process to keep all authorisations in good standing. - Product and Commercial Regulatory Advice: - Engage with Product Counsel to maintain a working understanding of the product and feature roadmap. - Support regulatory assessments of new products and features, providing compliance input and requireme
