Job description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Using CT analytical tools and equipment to support the development of new products through simulation, testing and analysis of data and designs. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Operate and maintain CT scan equipment for non-destructive testing and failure analysis of product. 2. Develop and execute CT scan testing procedures aligned with inspection objectives and product specifications. 3. Conduct detailed investigations using CT imaging to identify internal defects, structural anomalies, and material inconsistencies and collaborate with cross-functional teams. 4. Interpret CT scan data using specialized software tools, generating clear 3D reconstructions and sectional reviews for technical reporting. 5. Responsible for the daily maintenance industrial CT equipment to ensure the normal operation of the instruments. 6. Provide training and technical guidance to team members on CT scan operations and failure analysis techniques. 7. Assist in the operation of other lab equipment as needed. SCOPE: Conduct CT scanning for cable assembly, connector and touch foil products. EDUCATION: REQUIRED: Bachelor degree – Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. PREFERRED: Master degree WORK EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: • 3+ years experience with above listed task • Proven experience operating industrial CT scanning equipment and performing non-destructive testing. PREFERRED: • 1 year CT scan experience of Electrical Connectors • Knowledge of mechanical testing methods and reliability evaluation is an asset SKILLS & ABILITIES: REQUIRED: • Strong hands-on skills • Detail-oriented with excellent analysis skills • English communication skills, reading, writing and speaking PREFERRED: • Hands-on experience with lab equipment • Good organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
