Make your mark for patients We are looking for a National Account Executive – CVS who is intellectually curious, self-driven, and adaptable to join us in our Market Access & Affordability team. This field-based role requires up to 50% domestic travel domestically in Eastern and Central time zones. About the role The role drives revenue growth and market share by building strategic customer relationships, navigating the evolving healthcare and public policy landscape, and collaborating across UCB. In partnership with the CVS National Downstream Account Executive (NDAE), the NAE coordinates communication, resources, and execution of operating plan strategies and tactics to maximize access and growth opportunities across UCB’s promoted portfolio. Who you’ll work with The CVS National Account Executive (NAE) reports to the Head of Enterprise Accounts for CVS/Zinc/Aetna and leads UCB’s national market access strategy across CVS Trade Relations, Clinical, and Contracting stakeholders. What you’ll do Lead engagement with CVS Health and Zinc stakeholders to influence formulary positioning, medical policies, and coverage criteria for UCB’s Immunology, Neurology, and Rare Disease portfolios. Co-develop and maintain the customer operating plan, aligning brand priorities with UCB Market Access strategies and enterprise objectives. Partner with the Head of Enterprise Accounts to develop cross-customer and cross-segment strategies and assess their potential business impact. Expand relationships across Trade Relations, Clinical, Contracting, and other key stakeholder groups to strengthen account access and influence. Build expertise in customer data portals, analytics, reimbursement models, healthcare delivery structures, marketing strategies, disease management, and outcomes research. Deliver revenue, market share, and access objectives through disciplined execution of customer plans and alignment with UCB priorities. Lead cross-functional coordination to implement strategic account plans, allocate resources, resolve barriers, and track performance. Lead assigned product and channel contract negotiations in partnership with Contracting, Payer Value Strategy & Innovation, and key external decision-makers. Develop and negotiate complex, multi-source agreements that support brand access, growth, and long-term portfolio objectives. Secure commercially sustainable terms that balance UCB’s business priorities with the needs of national account customers. Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and other relevant functions to ensure contracts meet regulatory requirements, company policies, and financial objectives. Accountable for financial modeling, approval governance, implementation, and post-contract performance tracking Build and lead cross-functional customer teams, aligning UCB and customer stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Medical, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Sales, Disease Management, and executive leadership. Partner with Marketing to quantify and communicate the contribution of strategic national accounts to annual sales and market share objectives for brand, senior, and executive leadership. Support the full scope of UCB’s relationships with key national accounts, serving as a coordinated point of contact for customer communications and investment decisions. Analyze customer, market, and sales data to identify trends, assess performance, and uncover opportunities to improve access, revenue, and market share. Develop and deliver regular performance reports and actionable insights to leadership, highlighting key metrics, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions. Partner with Trade Relations, Clinical, and other key stakeholders to expand account intelligence, strengthen analytical capabilities, and translate insights into coordinated cross-functional action. Serve as the primary account partner to Contracts and Pricing, providing data and analytical support to evaluate UCB and competitive product performance and inform contracting decisions. Monitor healthcare policy and regulatory developments, assess potential account and business implications, and engage appropriate internal partners as needed. Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following Minimum requirements Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or a related field 10 years of relevant biopharmaceutical industry experience Must have a valid US Driver’s License and with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 2 years Preferred requirements MBA preferred Demonstrated success in at least two of the following areas: financial planning, formulary management, pricing and sales forecasting, strategy and analytics, value-based contracting, or custom client modeling. Proven expertise in account management, strategic operating plans, contract development and analysis, complex negotiations, account penetration, and project execution. Experience influencing high-performing cross-functional teams and managing budgets, resources, and competing priorities. Expertise in buy-and-bill reimbursement, medical benefits, and multiple market access channels. Experience leading contracting, product launches, or payer access initiatives in Immunology, Neurology, and Rare Disease. Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, with the flexibility to respond to evolving customer and business needs. This position reasonably anticipated base salary range is $181,600-238,400k. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
