Data Center Network Engineer Meet the Team We are the Data Center Network Services team within Cisco IT that supports network services for Cisco Engineering and business functions worldwide. Your Impact You will design, develop, test and deploy DC network capabilities within Data Center Network. You are engaging and comfortable collaborating with fellow engineers across multiple disciplines as well as internal clients. You will create innovative, high-quality capabilities enabling our clients to have the best possible experience. Minimum Requirements Bachelor of Engineering or Technology with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying, operating and managing scalable DC network infrastructure (using Nexus OS) Strong knowledge in TCP/IP internetworking, Routing, Switching, networking protocols and Routing protocols. Hands-on experience designing and operating Cisco hardware, including Nexus routers, ACI, ASA firewalls, FirePower NGFW’s. Virtualization technologies, both networking (VRF, VDC) and understanding of compute (Linux, VMware, Openstack). Experience on handling incident, problem and change management Familiarity with DevOps principles, comfortable with Agile practices Preferred Qualifications CCNP or CCIE Expertise on Enterprise & Data Center networking technologies. Expertise on latest Cisco hardware and operating systems (Catalyst, Nexus, IOS/IOS-XE/IOS-XR, NX-OS and ACI) Large-scale network infrastructure support skills and In-depth knowledge of network management, network availability, and network automation. Basic knowledge, understanding of Git and REST API. Expert level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
