We are looking for an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer / Configuration Specialist to support the development, configuration and enhancement of ServiceNow solutions within a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on ServiceNow expertise across development, configuration, workflows, integrations and platform capabilities. Experience across modules such as ITAM, ITSM and ITOM is particularly relevant, with additional expertise in areas such as HRSD, App Engine or Flow Designer beneficial. Key Responsibilities Develop and configure ServiceNow features, applications and workflows to automate and enhance business processes. Write, test and maintain scripts and configuration components to meet project and operational requirements. Configure ServiceNow components including forms, workflows, client scripts, server-side scripts and business rules. Customise user interface elements and develop Service Catalog items using Flow Designer and script-based workflows. Collaborate with architects, analysts, process owners and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Design and support ServiceNow integrations with other enterprise systems using native and third-party integration capabilities. Support data imports and exports, including the use of Transform Maps and associated integration tools. Support CMDB maintenance and related configuration activities. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, defects and technical issues associated with ServiceNow implementations, configurations and upgrades. Perform unit testing and contribute to system and integration testing to maintain code quality and platform stability. Support ServiceNow upgrades and assess the impact and applicability of new platform functionality. Contribute to the ongoing improvement, performance and maintainability of the ServiceNow platform. Work within established Agile, SDLC and DevOps practices. Essential Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and configuration. Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow modules such as:IT Asset Management (ITAM) IT Service Management (ITSM) IT Operations Management (ITOM) Custom application development Experience configuring ServiceNow components including:Forms Workflows Client and server-side scripts Business rules Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Studio and Flow Designer. Strong scripting capability using JavaScript and the Glide API. Experience developing and configuring ServiceNow workflows and process automation. Experience with ServiceNow integrations and associated integration tools. Proficiency in data import/export techniques, including Transform Maps. Experience working with CMDB data and maintenance activities. Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into well-documented technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. Understanding of ServiceNow technical architecture and good development practices. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, SDLC processes and DevOps principles within ServiceNow environments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. Good attention to detail, with a strong focus on testing, quality assurance and platform stability. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with process owners, architects, analysts and technical teams. ServiceNow Specialisms Experience in one or more of the following ServiceNow areas would be particularly relevant: ITAM – IT Asset Management ITSM – IT Service Management ITOM – IT Operations Management HRSD – Human Resources Service Delivery App Engine Flow Designer Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be an experienced ServiceNow Developer who combines strong hands-on development and configuration capability with an understanding of the wider ServiceNow platform. They should be comfortable working with JavaScript, Glide API, Studio, Flow Designer, workflows, integrations, CMDB and data transformations, while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to turn requirements into scalable and maintainable ServiceNow solutions. Experience across ITAM, ITSM or ITOM would be particularly valuable, while expertise in HRSD, App Engine or Flow Designer would also be highly relevant. Why Version 1?
