Braun Avitum AG , we are looking for an experienced and motivated R&D Electrical Engineer (f/m/d) – Component Qualification to join our Research & Development organization. In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative active medical devices for infusion and dialysis therapies. Working in interdisciplinary project teams, you will play a key role in the selection, qualification, approval, and lifecycle management of electronic and mechatronic components and assemblies sourced from international suppliers. Your Responsibilities Define technical requirements and specifications for electronic and mechatronic components and assemblies used in active medical devices. Evaluate, simulate, select, qualify, and approve components and assemblies from international suppliers. Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure technical compliance, performance, quality, and long-term availability. Support products throughout their entire lifecycle, from concept development and product maintenance to end-of-life and obsolescence management. Verify and document development and qualification results in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and internal processes. Analyze technical deviations and support risk assessments in close cooperation with Manufacturing, Service, Quality Management, and Regulatory Affairs. Contribute to technology scouting and the continuous improvement of component and supplier qualification processes. Your profile Degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline. Experience in the development, qualification, or validation of electronic systems and components. Good understanding of analog and digital circuit design. Knowledge of embedded systems and hardware-related software. Experience with E-CAD tools and electronic design processes. Familiarity with medical device development processes and applicable standards is considered an advantage. Personal Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly understand and evaluate new technologies. Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within interdisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an international environment. High level of commitment, ownership, and accountability. Willingness to engage with suppliers and stakeholders across different functions and regions.
