We Are: Accenture’s Supply Chain & Operations practice, and we architect the systems that power the world’s most demanding distribution networks. Our clients—Fortune 500 leaders in retail, e-commerce, consumer goods, grocery, third-party logistics, and industrial manufacturing—look to us to make the technology decisions that will shape how their warehouses operate for the next decade. From WMS platform selection and solution design to integration architecture across automation systems, ERP, and adjacent supply chain applications, our Warehousing & Distribution Engineering team brings together deep platform expertise, rigorous architecture thinking, and Accenture’s global ecosystem to build solutions that perform at scale from day one—and evolve as the business does. You Are: A senior solution architect who has made a career of designing WMS solutions. You bring deep, platform-level expertise in Manhattan Active® WM: you understand its configuration model, extensibility framework, cloud/SaaS architecture, and integration patterns well enough to make the right design decisions early—the ones that determine whether an implementation succeeds two years after go-live, not just on cutover night. You are equally fluent in the integration landscape that surrounds a modern WMS: ERP, TMS, OMS, labor management, automation systems, WCS/WES, and the data and analytics layers that tie them together. You have led technology selection processes, governed solution designs across large multi-workstream programs, and earned the trust of both warehouse operations teams and enterprise IT architects. You are a clear communicator who can explain complex architecture trade-offs to a CIO and walk a configuration team through an integration design in the same afternoon. And you are ready to do it where the work is—on-site 60 to 80 percent of the time. The Work: Define and own the end-to-end WMS solution architecture for large distribution center transformation programs—establishing the technology landscape, platform design, integration architecture, and solution governance framework across WMS, WCS/WES, ERP, automation systems, and adjacent supply chain applications. Lead the solution design for Manhattan Active® WM implementations, including platform configuration approach, extensibility and customization strategy, deployment architecture (cloud/SaaS), data model design, and alignment with Manhattan Associates’ product roadmap and best practices; apply equivalent architectural rigor to Blue Yonder Luminate, SAP EWM, or other platforms where required. Architect and govern the integration layer between WMS and connected systems—ERP (SAP, Oracle), TMS, OMS, labor management, slotting, material handling automation (WCS/WES, AS/RS, AMR, conveyor/sortation), and BI/analytics platforms—defining API and messaging patterns, data flows, payload design, and middleware selection. Lead WMS technology assessment and platform selection engagements: define business and technical requirements, author RFP/RFI documentation, establish evaluation criteria and scoring frameworks, manage vendor demonstrations, and develop platform recommendations for senior client leadership. Design the integration architecture for warehouse automation solutions—AS/RS, goods-to-person, conveyor and sortation, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), robotic picking, pick-to-light/voice—ensuring WMS, WES, and WCS layers are architected for throughput, operational resilience, failover, and scalability at full production volume. Translate complex business requirements and DC operational processes into scalable, maintainable WMS solution designs that maximize native platform capability, minimize unnecessary customization, and position clients for platform upgrades and innovation over the solution lifecycle. Provide architectural leadership and technical oversight to configuration teams, functional leads, technical developers, and integration engineers throughout the program—conducting design reviews, adjudicating solution decisions, and maintaining alignment between the approved architecture and delivered solution. Lead architecture governance across the program: own the solution decisions log and architecture change control process; serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex functional, integration, and performance issues during design, build, and testing phases. Develop and maintain client-facing solution architecture artifacts: current- and future-state technology landscape diagrams, integration architecture blueprints, architecture decision records (ADRs), platform evaluation scorecards, and solution design documentation suitable for client executive and IT leadership audiences. Serve as a trusted technology advisor to client CIOs, CTOs, VP-level IT and supply chain leaders, and enterprise architects—communicating architecture decisions, technology trade-offs, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations with clarity and executive presence. Support Accenture business development—solution architecture for proposals and RFP responses, technology sections of SOWs and contracts, client demonstrations of WMS platform capability, and development of differentiated points of view on WMS and warehouse automation technology strategy. Build Accenture’s WMS and automation technology practice: develop reusable architecture patterns, integration accelerators, platform evaluation tools, and technology POVs; support alliance relationships with Manhattan Associates, automation OEMs, and adjacent technology partners. Travel Requirements: This role requires 60–80% travel, primarily to client distribution center and project sites across the United States and potentially internationally. Travel is aligned with active project needs and current health and safety guidelines. Here’s What You Need: Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain technology, WMS implementation, or distribution center systems delivery, including at least 6 years of experience in a Solution Architect or Senior Functional Architect role supporting large-scale WMS or distribution center automation programs. Minimum of 5 years of experience architecting and delivering Manhattan Active® WM solutions, including platform design, configuration strategy, extensibility framework, cloud/SaaS deployment architecture, and enterprise integrations within high-volume distribution center environments. Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and implementing WMS integration architectures, including API, event-driven, and batch integration patterns, data modeling, middleware strategy, and integrations with ERP, TMS, OMS, WCS/WES, LMS, automation systems, and analytics platforms. Minimum of 5 years of experience translating complex business and operational requirements into scalable WMS solution designs and leading cross-functional programs involving multiple vendors, stakeholders, and delivery teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience architecting the integration o
