Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on FMI/Recall Program Leader who can independently take complex field-action programs from initiation through closure in a highly regulated environment. This individual will convert ambiguity into clear execution plans, drive global cross-functional alignment, maintain control of schedule, cost, risk, compliance and closure readiness, and deliver predictable program outcomes with minimal leadership intervention. The successful candidate combines strong program execution with sound judgement, effectively distinguishing issues that can be resolved within the team from those requiring escalation. When escalation is necessary, they bring clear recommendations, decision options and business impact assessments rather than simply reporting issues. In addition to program delivery, this role is expected to continuously improve the FMI/Recall operating model through Lean thinking, data-driven management, workflow simplification, digital enablement and responsible use of AI-enabled tools. Job DescriptionCore responsibilities: FMI / Recall Program Leadership (85%) Own End-to-End Program ExecutionLead assigned FMI and Recall programs from initiation through applicable F5/F6 closure Milestones in accordance with approved Quality Management System procedures and program plans.Maintain complete accountability for execution, closure readiness and program outcomes. Develop and Execute Integrated Program PlansEstablish and maintain program plans, critical paths, milestones, resource forecasts, budget outlooks, governance mechanisms and execution strategies.Drive alignment across global stakeholders to deliver approved commitments. Lead Cross-Functional ExecutionServe as the primary program leader across Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Service, Supply Chain, Product and regional stakeholders.Drive decisions, approvals, issue resolution and milestone achievement through influence and collaboration. Manage Risk, Ambiguity and EscalationsProactively identify risks, issues, dependencies and changes.Demonstrate sound judgement in determining when leadership escalation is required.Present clear recommendations, recovery options, business impacts and decision requirements to enable timely action. Drive Closure Readiness and ComplianceEnsure completion of reconciliation activities, objective evidence, approvals and regulatory-closure documentation.Maintain audit-ready program records and compliance with approved procedures. Operate a Disciplined Execution Management SystemLead a consistent Heartbeat operating rhythm using dashboards, program linearity, action ageing, visual management and fact-based performance reviews.Maintain accurate schedule, cost, quality, risk and closure-readiness information as the program source of truth. Lead Resources and Continuous ImprovementCoordinate execution priorities across Closure Analysts, consultants and external partners.Develop resource forecasts, manage utilisation and identify productivity, cycle-time and cost-to-serve improvements through Lean methodologies. Provide Leadership Visibility and Decision SupportDeliver concise, decision-oriented program updates, risk assessments, recommendations and recovery plans to functional and business leadership.Drive program to closure with minimal leadership intervention. Digital Enablement and Process Transformation (approximately 15%) Identify and prioritise opportunities for workflow simplification, automation, analytics and improved operational visibility across FMI/Recall processes. Partner with Digital, Software, Data, AI, Cybersecurity, Quality and Validation teams to define requirements and support solution deployment. Champion adoption, training, value realisation and responsible use of approved digital and AI-enabled solutions. Track and communicate measurable operational benefits from digital initiatives. Key performance outcomes Predictable achievement of approved field-action milestones and closure commitments. Improved program linearity, action ageing, risk visibility and escalation effectiveness. Complete, accurate and audit-ready execution and closure documentation. Clear program ownership with reduced leadership intervention in routine execution. Effective delivery and oversight of internal, consultant and partner resources. Measurable cycle-time, productivity, quality, cost or user-experience improvements from Lean and digital initiatives. Key Stakeholder Groups Collaborates across Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Service, Operations, Finance, Digital, business leadership, and relevant external partners to drive program execution and closure Educational qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Operations or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience where permitted by local policy. Required Skillsets: At least 9+ years of experience in engineering, service, quality, operations, program/project management or a related field, including at least 5 years leading cross-functional projects or programs in a regulated environment. Demonstrated experience managing schedules, risks, actions, resources, budgets and stakeholder communication across complex programs. Strong execution discipline, organisational capability and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities. Effective written and verbal communication, including presenting program status, risks and recommendations to leadership. Ability to influence without direct authority in a global, matrixed organisation. Fluent written and spoken English. Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of medical-device Quality Management Systems, product lifecycle, risk management, ISO 13485, ISO 14971 or applicable post-market regulatory expectations. Experience supporting medical-device field actions, recalls, post-market programs, quality programs or regulated service deployments. Experience with Computed Tomography, Molecular Imaging, installed-base operations or software/service deployment. Experience overseeing consultants, contractors, closure analysts or external engineering/service partners. PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent program-management or continuous-improvement certification. Experience supporting workflow automation, analytics, digital process improvement or AI-enabled business initiatives. Tools and systems Proficiency with Microsoft 365 collaboration and reporting tools. Experience with program planning, action tracking, dashboards or data-visualisation tools. Familiarity with quality, service, product lifecycle, installed-base or document-management systems is desirable. Ability to use approved digital and AI-enabled tools responsibly for productivity and decision support; software development expertise is not required.
