As we build our footprint for our “Next-Gen” Gilead Capabilities Center, we’re looking for innovative IT leaders who will reimagine how we bring medicines to patients and deliver great employee experiences play a critical role in delivering a productive, connected, and engaging technology experience for employees across Gilead's India operations. This role leads the India-based Employee Experience organization and serves as the primary Employee Experience technology leader for the Gilead Capabilities Center in India. The leader is responsible for delivering high-quality workplace technology services, supporting workforce growth, and ensuring alignment with global Employee Experience strategies, standards, and operating models. Done well, IT employee experience is a value driver for Gilead and a core component of Gilead’s ambition to be the Employer and Partner of Choice. The Director will be responsible for ensuring the technology experience of every employee and partner in our India operations delivers seamless and delightful experiences day-to-day as well as during key moments that matter – while striking the right balance between functionality, usability and compliance. The Director will partner closely with both global and local Employee Experience, Infrastructure, Security, HR, and Business Technology teams to ensure employees have reliable, secure, and user-centric technology solutions that enable productivity and collaboration. The leader will also build and develops a high-performing India-based team, fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. Key Responsibilities Lead delivery of Employee Experience services across Gilead's India operations, ensuring a reliable, scalable, and high-quality employee technology experience. Serve as the primary Employee Experience technology leader for the GCC India organization and trusted advisor to local business, HR, and GCC leadership. Partner with global Employee Experience teams to execute and operationalize global workplace technology strategies, standards, and roadmaps within India. Oversee end-user technology services including service desk operations, device provisioning and lifecycle management, hardware support and software deployment for India-based employees and contractors. Lead the delivery and sustainment of collaboration and productivity platforms (Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, video conferencing and related tools) for India-based employees. Drive IT service management (ITSM) processes, including incident, problem and change management as well as continual service improvement, and ensure SLAs are consistently met. Drive service excellence through operational improvements, automation, service management best practices, and employee experience initiatives. Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Network, and Business Technology teams to ensure seamless and compliant service delivery. Lead vendor and managed service provider relationships to ensure delivery against agreed service, quality, and performance objectives. Drive financial stewardship, managing Employee Experience IT project delivery costs and operational budgets for the India site. Partner with global IT leaders to budget, track and forecast costs, and recommend trade-offs to control costs without compromising critical components of employee experience. Plan and support workforce growth, onboarding, office expansion, and business transformation initiatives across the India GCC. Lead a team of leaders and professionals to create a diverse, inclusive, and empowered culture that promotes curiosity, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning. Build, develop, and retain high-performing teams through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and capability development. Participate in other IT- and site-related activities, including M&A impacting the India site(s), as needed. Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 15+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 12+ years with a Master's degree; experience in biopharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industries is preferred. Experience leading Employee Experience, End User Computing, Service Management, Infrastructure, or workplace technology organizations. Expertise in end-user computing, collaboration platforms, service desk operations, device lifecycle management, and digital employee experience solutions. Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, endpoint management technologies, and modern workplace services. Proven ability to translate workforce and business needs into scalable technology solutions and operational priorities. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences. Proven track record managing vendors, managed service providers, operational budgets, and service delivery metrics to deliver excellent customer service on budget. Experience with securing network technologies, client and server operating systems, and fluency with Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies. Understanding of common security standards and healthcare-related regulations and data privacy requirements. Previous people’s management experience leading high-performing teams and developing future leaders. Experience working in globally distributed and matrixed organizations.
