Job description

AWS Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) is building toward a future where every business innovates with Amazon AI teammates. To get there, we build AI solutions that improve human capabilities and transform entire business functions. We create end-to-end products that surprise and delight out-of-the-box, making complex things easy and hard things possible, with no cloud experience required. We start with customers who embrace the future and build bridges to meet the rest where they are. We pursue ambitious opportunities with conviction, and we are looking for builders who share that mindset. As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will serve as a trusted technical advisor for one or more AWS customers, guiding them through every stage of their cloud adoption journey. Your work will directly influence service and feature adoption, helping customers reach higher levels of cloud maturity. You will build close relationships across all levels of your customers' organizations, understanding their business and operational needs while providing strategic technical guidance. From reviewing architectures and recommending best practices to proactively identifying risks and optimizing environments, you will ensure your customers get the greatest value from AWS. You will craft and execute strategies with stakeholders to drive adoption, support project and launch planning, and resolve operational challenges. Key job responsibilities - Provide proactive technical guidance and advocacy for customers, reviewing cloud architectures and recommending solutions that improve security, performance, resiliency, and cost effectiveness - Design and recommend operational processes that meet customer recovery, scalability, and availability targets while identifying and mitigating risks across their AWS environments - Collaborate with internal AWS teams including Solutions Architects, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers to deliver a coordinated support experience - Drive technical discussions around incidents, architectural trade-offs, and risk management with stakeholders ranging from engineering teams to senior executives - Review customer implementations for known limitations, proactively surface improvement opportunities, and help integrate cloud best practices into their internal processes A day in the life Your primary focus is proactive: you spend your time reviewing customer architectures, identifying potential risks before they become issues, and preparing recommendations that keep environments operationally healthy. You will regularly connect with your customers' engineering and leadership teams, running planned enablement events such as product launches or infrastructure migrations. Between customer engagements, you collaborate with AWS service teams to advocate for feature improvements and share insights that benefit the broader customer community.
