Role Overview As an Artwork Planner based in India, you will lead and execute the end-to-end artwork supply chain across APAC, Middle East, and India. You will act as the single point of accountability orchestrating projects across Commercial/Brand teams, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Packaging Development, Pre-press Agencies, and Global/Regional Manufacturing Sites (including Contract Manufacturing Organizations). We are seeking a high-caliber professional who demonstrates Strong Leadership, Operates with Discipline, and applies Ownership & Systemic Thinking to drive complex, multi-market artwork initiatives from brief to print. What Success Looks Like in this Role Flawless On-Time Delivery: Delivering 100% of critical artwork milestones on schedule, ensuring zero product launch delays, line stoppages, or inventory write-offs across the APAC, Middle East, and India supply networks. Right-First-Time (RFT) Quality: Driving near-zero defect rates and upholding strict regulatory compliance, ensuring approved artwork is technically print-ready on the first pass. Proactive Matrix Orchestration: Becoming the go-to partner who anticipates bottlenecks early, successfully balancing commercial urgency with regulatory rigor and manufacturing constraints. High-Performing Vendor Ecosystem: Holding prepress agencies and print suppliers accountable to strict SLAs, improving cycle times, and eliminating recurring quality issues. Continuous Operational Excellence: Using systemic problem-solving (RCA/CAPA) and digital tools (Power BI, workflow automation) to standardize workflows and permanently eliminate non-value-added lead time. Key Responsibilities Built Around Core Competencies 1. Strong Leadership Cross-Regional Project Direction: Lead multi-functional project teams across multiple time zones on Artwork delivery meeting critical milestones. Proactive Decision-Making: Monitor and resolve Artwork workflow bottlenecks across brief creation, regulatory text sign-off, and prepress proofing. Mobilize contingency actions with agencies, regulatory teams, and printers to secure on-time delivery of approved artwork without compromising compliance. External Partner Leadership: Drive accountability with prepress houses, creative adaptation agencies, and print vendors, ensuring strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), quality benchmarks, and turnaround times. 2. Ownership & Systemic Thinking End-to-End Supply Chain Integration: Connect the dots across the entire product lifecycle—understanding how an upstream regulatory change impacts technical line trials, plate-making lead times, plant scheduling, and market distribution. Continuous Systemic Improvement: Eliminate process inefficiencies using standard problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, CAPA). Standardize artwork workflows across APAC, Middle East, and India to shorten lead times and eliminate recurring errors. 3. Operates with Discipline Right-First-Time (RFT) Execution: Follow Artwork standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to deliver near-zero defect rate, and upkeep Data integrity. 4. Strong Collaboration Skills Matrix Navigation: Bridge conflicting priorities across functions with diverse agendas: Commercial/Brand (speed-to-market), Regulatory Affairs (stringent compliance), and Manufacturing Sites (operational efficiency and lead times). Cross-Cultural Agility: Communicate clearly and persuasively across diverse geographic teams, adapting your style to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners across Regions. Qualifications & Candidate Profile Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Packaging Technology, Graphic Communications, Pharmacy, or Business Administration. Experience: 2–6 years of experience in artwork management, packaging planning, print production, or supply chain project management. Industry Background: Strong preference for experience within regulated consumer healthcare, OTC pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or medical devices or FMCG business managing multi-country footprints. Required Capabilities: Demonstrated Leadership: Proven ability to influence cross-functional peers and senior stakeholders without formal reporting lines. Systemic Thinking: Ability to anticipate downstream operational and financial impacts of packaging changes across complex supply networks. High Operational Rigor: Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and comfortable managing dozens of complex, concurrent project timelines. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of commercial printing technologies (flexo, offset, rotogravure) and packaging formats (cartons, foils, blisters, labels).
