As part of Global Markets and Technologies (GM&T), the Maritime activity connects a wide range of global markets to essential molecules across borders and oceans. Air Liquide Maritime is organized along four business units, namely Offshore Energies, Cryogenic Supply, Global Rare Gases and Global Helium, and is also supporting OCEOS, a joint Venture to offer CO2 shipping and barging services for CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) projects across Europe. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The primary mission is the metronomy of production acting as the operational heartbeat of production rhythm and quality control while operating in daily lab activity, structural organization of the laboratory, preparing it for major technological evolutions . 1. Operational Coordination & MonitoringProduction Cadence & Guidance: Serving as a key technical resource, the Production Engineer maintains plant performance by helping to conduct daily activities of production and lab, resolves operational issues to uphold rigorous safety, efficiency, and quality standards. This role champions organizational growth by coordinating across Maintenance and Quality to deliver change and lasting result. Proactive Monitoring of important production parameters & internal procedure compliance checks, when any abnormality or deviation is observed, report, by collaborating with stakeholders, lead the investigation/ troubleshooting effort. Statistical Process Control (SPC): Establish, monitor, and improve the site’s SPC and data monitoring system. Maintain control charts, establish Upper/Lower Control Limits (UCL/LCL) based on process statistics, and implement Out of Control Action Plans (OCAP) when deviations occur. This involves leading proactive risk assessments (Anomalies Hunt, Job Hazard Analysis), rigorously enforcing Life-Saving Rules, and conducting IMS Gap analysis within a "Just Culture" framework to ensure continuous safety excellence. The Operation Engineer works in close partnership with the Industrial and Method managers to define, optimize, and execute operational workflows. 2. Laboratory OperationsDaily Laboratory Support: Spend a dedicated operational time performing hands-on chemical analysis, acting as the field back-up for the laboratory technician. Comprehensive Testing Execution: Participate into precise Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), and Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) against strict client specifications. System Requalification: Define and support formal requalification of metrology tools after any critical component replacement or analytical method change. Metrological Capability Studies: support and Perform Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) studies to prove metrological compliance. Advanced Instrumentation Management: Operate, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated analytical hardware including Gas Chromatography (GC-DID, GC-PED), FTIR, Flame Ionization Detectors (FID), NDIR, Thin-film aluminum oxide, Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy, Quartz Balance,and Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CRDS). 3. Lab Strategy, Modernization & Knowledge Transfer Laboratory Structuring: Direct the organizational workflow of the Moissy-Cramayel laboratory, preparing infrastructure, equipment, and methodologies for future product lines and tightening electronic industry requirements. International Synergy & Transfer: Act as the primary lab technical bridge to our second production site in Cheonan, South Korea. Share analytical methods, validate backup metrology matching, and ensure procedural standardization across both global locations. Advanced Metrology Design: Map out future laboratory instrumentation requirements and support the commissioning of cutting-edge online analyzers and automated sampling lines. Are you a MATCH? Leadership & Communication ExpectationsImpactful communication: The candidate must possess superior communication skills and know exactly how to speak up and clear ambiguity. Cross-Functional Interface: Successfully bridge technical gaps by translating complex analytical data into actionable insights for Operations, Quality, Sales, and external semiconductor customers. Candidate Profile & QualificationsRequired Technical BackgroundRequires at least three years of professional experience within an industrial & operational environment. Education: Master’s Degree or Engineering Degree in Analytical Chemistry or an equivalent advanced degree focused on chemical analysis studies. Analytical Expertise: Proven deep knowledge of Gas Chromatography (GC), FTIR Core Methodologies: Practical understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, and statistical software. Languages: Absolute fluency in both French and English is mandatory to successfully manage local plant rhythm and conduct international knowledge transfer with South Korea. Preferred AttributesCurious, open-minded, autonomous, self-motivated and flexible Experimental Competency: Applicants must demonstrate a strong appetite for laboratory work and proficiency in core lab functions, such as sampling design, designing test plans, running purification operations, performing chemical analysis, analyzing data, and maintaining equipment. R&D experience is a plus leveraging on good analytical and written communication skills ; Very good oral communications skills, within an international team, Prior experience dealing with high-purity specialty gases or working within the semiconductor supply chain matrix.
