Univet Ltd. is a leading Irish veterinary pharmaceuticals manufacturer. We are seeking an experienced, confident and highly organised Factory Floor Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure products move efficiently, safely and compliantly through production. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can take ownership of the factory floor, set clear priorities, direct teams effectively and keep production lines moving. You will be expected to identify delays early, drive practical solutions and ensure that commitments are delivered. Key responsibilities Lead, organise and supervise daily factory-floor manufacturing activities. Set clear daily priorities and direct production teams to achieve output targets. Ensure production lines are appropriately staffed, prepared and operating efficiently. Drive the timely manufacture, packaging and release of products in line with agreed plans. Expedite priority products and resolve bottlenecks to prevent avoidable delays. Coordinate closely with Planning, Warehouse, QA, QC, Engineering and Maintenance to keep work progressing. Monitor performance, labour utilisation, downtime, waste and adherence to schedules. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with GMP, health and safety requirements, SOPs and site quality standards. Ensure manufacturing documentation is completed accurately and on time. Hold team members accountable for delivery, standards, attendance and performance. Lead daily floor meetings and communicate progress, risks, changes and required actions clearly. Support investigations, CAPAs, change controls and continuous-improvement initiatives. Develop and coach supervisors and operators, building a practical, high-performing production team. The person Proven experience managing people in a busy manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food, medical-device or similarly regulated environment. A strong, visible and decisive leadership style, with the confidence to give clear direction and make decisions. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, particularly under pressure. A practical problem-solver who follows through and gets things finished. Strong focus on delivery, customer service, quality and compliance. Experience working to production plans, KPIs and tight deadlines. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments. A sound understanding of GMP and regulated manufacturing would be a strong advantage. Comfortable using production systems, ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
