The Program At Novo Nordisk, interns will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced industry professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. For ten weeks, interns will be immersed in the environment of a global pharmaceutical company and contribute to the line of business by providing sustainable and meaningful project work. Our internship program also includes instructor-led trainings, a leadership engagement series, as well as insightful lunch and learns. Program Start: May 17, 2027 Program End: July 23, 2027 Scope of Position The intern will support the Black Utilities team with the daily operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of utility systems. During the internship, the individual will be assigned a manageable portfolio of projects to complete while contributing to the team’s broader operational and improvement efforts. Project assignments may include activities such as reviewing maintenance plans, supporting mechanical design work, and assisting with modifications to utility or electrical systems. The intern will work alongside team members across multiple technical areas and will gain exposure to a broad range of engineering disciplines, including welding, machining, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, utility systems engineering, and life safety systems engineering. The role will also provide exposure to Lean principles and tools, including visual management, root-cause problem solving, standard work, and continuous improvement practices used to support reliable utility operations. This role is intended to provide hands-on experience in a manufacturing and utility support environment while helping the intern build practical technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of cross-functional engineering work. Physical Requirements 0% overnight travel required. Qualifications Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. Engineering, life science, or related majors preferred. Must be a rising junior, or rising senior with a 3.0 GPA or above. Excellent computer skills to include: Proficiency in Excel, Word & familiarity/capability in most other Microsoft Office applications.
