Job description

Job Title: Cyber Security Awareness Specialist Department: Digital Resilience, Cyber Risk and Resilience Location: Ballerup Your impact begins here As Cyber Security Specialist, you will lead and develop how Novo builds security awareness, culture and training. You will turn cyber risks, threat intelligence, policies, audit findings and incidents into clear, practical learning that helps colleagues make secure decisions in their everyday work. Working across business areas and geographies, you will strengthen employee resilience and show measurable progress in security behaviour – helping protect the people, data and operations Novo relies on to serve people living with serious chronic diseases. What you’ll bring You know how to make cyber security make sense to people – and how to show that behaviour is changing. You will also bring: A master’s degree or equivalent in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, risk management, organisational psychology, learning and development, communications, business administration or a related discipline. Several years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, security awareness, privacy, compliance or a related discipline. Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to enterprise-wide awareness, role-based training, communication campaigns and behaviour-change initiatives for diverse audiences. Strong skills in learning design, communication and facilitation, with the ability to simplify complex cyber topics without losing accuracy. Experience engaging senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, and influencing without formal authority. Solid programme and project management skills, including managing suppliers, budgets and delivery partners. Experience defining programme measures, analysing results and using data to demonstrate effectiveness and guide priorities, including work with learning platforms, awareness tools and digital channels. A global mindset and the judgement to adapt your approach across cultures, languages and operational contexts. Useful, but not essential: Experience from a large, complex or international organisation, or from a regulated industry. Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, NIS2 or comparable frameworks and requirements. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, Security+, SANS security-awareness certifications or equivalent. What you’ll do This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on delivery. Success means secure behaviour becomes part of everyday work: the right audiences receive relevant content, stakeholders understand their role in building resilience, and data shows sustained improvement in awareness, reporting and secure decision-making. Develop and deliver a risk-based security awareness, culture and training strategy aligned with cyber risk priorities, the Digital Resilience roadmap and enterprise needs. Assess behavioural needs and design role-based learning, onboarding, mandatory training and campaigns for employees, leaders, technical teams, privileged users, contractors and other key audiences. Translate policies, threat intelligence, audit findings, incidents and control gaps into practical guidance, simulations and behaviour-change activities. Build security champion and awareness networks, and manage platforms, suppliers, budgets and delivery partners so activities stay globally relevant. Define meaningful metrics, report progress and risks to stakeholders, and use data, employee feedback, incident trends and emerging threats to keep improving the programme. Who you’ll work with You will join the Digital Resilience team within Cyber Risk and Resilience. Your work will reach across business areas, geographies and professional disciplines. You will partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, and with security champions and awareness networks who carry secure habits into their own teams. You will also work closely with suppliers and delivery partners to bring programmes to life at scale. Your audiences range from employees and leaders to technical teams, privileged users and contractors. Keeping the work clear, focused and grounded in real risk will help these relationships move from awareness to action. What you can expect here You will own an agenda that matters to the whole organisation, with the trust to shape strategy and the opportunity to deliver it hands-on. Your expertise will be valued, and you will be encouraged to make your voice heard, challenge convention and turn ideas into initiatives that colleagues use. You will build new skills by working across functions, cultures and markets, and you will join a company that is upskilling its entire workforce to advance AI as a main driver for innovation. Clear expectations and a culture that recognises results will help you deliver your best work and see your progress. Salary For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600.00 to 1,091,600.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
