Description: This is an onsite position requiring the team member to be onsite for all scheduled workdays. No relocation assistance is provided for this opportunity. This position is a fixed-term contract projected to last 9 months. The position offers benefits, training, and full-time hours. A $1,000 bonus will be offered for 12 & 24 weeks for those that complete these milestone dates. Job Summary In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and lead technical support activities for manufacturing equipment and processes, ensuring product quality, equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.The Technician Lead provides hands-on technical leadership, supports daily production needs, helps prioritize maintenance and process-related issues, and guides technicians in troubleshooting, repair, training, and continuous improvement activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and support technicians in achieving site and departmental goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Provide day-to-day technical directions and hands-on support for automated equipment troubleshooting, repair, changeovers, and improvements. Coordinate and prioritize technical work activities to support production, quality, and equipment uptime objectives. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, production, quality, and other cross-functional teams to support sustainable manufacturing processes and system improvements. Troubleshoot electromechanical systems, pneumatics, servos, PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, and related automation systems. Assist with root cause investigations and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (RCCA/CAPA). Support the collection, review, and interpretation of equipment and process data to identify trends, prioritize issues, and drive improvements. Help develop, schedule, and deliver technical training for technicians in areas such as electromechanical systems, pneumatics, servos, PLCs, schematic reading, equipment operation, and new technologies. Support equipment installations, start-ups, qualifications, and improvement projects in coordination with engineering and other stakeholders. Assist in developing equipment procedures, work instructions, setup sheets, maintenance documentation, and other technical records as needed. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to support equipment service, replacement parts, and technical problem resolution. Provide technical support to help ensure plant equipment, machinery, and processes operate at optimum levels. Monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and assist in developing technical capability across the team. Promote and support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives within the facility. Identify opportunities for equipment reliability, process efficiency, waste reduction, and safety improvements. Maintain a customer service mindset when supporting internal and external customers while meeting production and quality standards. Ensure work is performed in compliance with company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable procedures. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and safety rules. Exhibit regular, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs. Education Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Automation, or related field required. Additional technical certifications in automation, PLCs, electrical systems, or related areas preferred. Work Experience Experience: 5–8 years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment required. Experience: 2+ years of experience in a lead, senior technician, team lead, or supervisory support role in a manufacturing environment preferred. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability to lead technicians and coordinate technical activities within a value stream or manufacturing area. Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in automated manufacturing equipment. Ability to support change implementation within the value stream and help teams adapt to process, equipment, or system changes. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and other stakeholders. Ability to support operational readiness for new equipment, transfers, process updates, and improvement activities. Effective planning and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of safety, quality, and compliance requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to train, coach, and support technicians in developing the skills needed to perform their roles effectively. Ability to participate in risk assessments and support mitigation plans related to equipment and process changes. Ability to monitor results of changes and communicate issues, status, and follow-up actions as needed. Skilled in stakeholder support and communication related to technical and operational changes. Able to be aware of and follow all relevant SOPs as per company policy as they relate to the position. Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities toward delivery of established targets. Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times. Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times. Travel Requirements None: No travel required Physical Requirements Light-Exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects.
