Job Purpose The R&D Reporting Trainee will support the planning, monitoring, and reporting of R&D activities across the MENA product development portfolio. The trainee will assist in tracking project timelines, milestones, budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs), while contributing to the preparation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and presentations that support informed decision-making. The role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project monitoring, data analysis, reporting, and R&D operations within a dynamic cross-functional environment. The trainee will work closely with R&D teams and other stakeholders to support operational excellence and portfolio visibility across the region. Key Responsibilities: Portfolio Tracking & Reporting · Collect, compile, and consolidate project timelines, milestones, budgets, forecasts, and KPI data submitted by PMO into standardized portfolio-level trackers and reports, using templates, formats, and reporting cycles defined by the PMO/R&D leadership · Maintain and update portfolio-level dashboards and performance reports, using formats set by the R&D leadership · Flag missing or incomplete data submissions to R&D team and PMO for follow-up. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain exposure to different aspects of R&D operations. · Financial & Budget Support · Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Finance, R&D, PMO, Pipeline) to collect project financial data · Support consolidation and analysis of budget vs. actual spend and forecast data for portfolio reporting purposes · Assist in preparing inputs for budget planning and forecasting cycles. Meetings/ Administrative & Documentation Support · Prepare dashboards, reports, and PowerPoint presentations for R&D leadership and R&D leadership review meetings · Coordinate meeting logistics for R&D governance forums (scheduling, agendas, materials distribution) · Track action items and decisions arising from R&D leadership review meetings and follow up on status with relevant owners · Maintain meeting minutes, decision logs, and reports from R&D leadership review meetings · Support ad hoc data requests and analyses for R&D leadership Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (recent graduates with brief experience in Pharmaceutical Industry are encouraged to apply). · Strong academic record with an interest in Data analytics, and R&D operations. Skills & Competencies · Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with dashboard/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a must · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Good analytical skills with ability to synthesize data from multiple sources · Clear written and verbal communication skills · Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders' inputs · Discretion in handling confidential project and financial data · Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Experience: · 1–2 years of experience (suitable for trainee/entry level); internship or academic project experience in project coordination, data analysis, or reporting is a plus · Prior exposure to R&D, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated industry environments is advantageous · Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis using Microsoft Excel is a plus
