About The Role At BASF we are entering an exciting time within our Agriculture business with an existing portfolio of world class products and a pipeline of new products that will bring significant benefits to the agriculture industry. As our Business Controller, you will be a trusted finance business partner to BASF's Agricultural Solutions business, providing insights that drive performance, profitability and strategic decision-making. You'll work closely with business leaders to analyse financial results, challenge assumptions, improve processes and help steer the business towards its operational and financial goals. How You Will Do It Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights, performance analysis and recommendations that support commercial decision-making. Monitor sales, costs and profitability against operational plans, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities to support business performance and resource allocation. Deliver meaningful reporting and analysis to local and regional stakeholders, translating data into actionable business insights. Drive process improvement initiatives and strengthen financial controls to enhance operational efficiency and business performance. Partner with cross-functional teams and support audit activities to ensure strong governance, compliance and continuous improvement. What We Look For To be successful in this role, you'll bring strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and a genuine passion for partnering with the business to influence outcomes. You'll enjoy turning complex financial information into meaningful insights and thrive in a collaborative environment where your recommendations can shape business decisions. You will: Hold tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, with CPA is preferred. Have at least 5 years' experience in financial analysis business partnering or controlling business partnering roles. Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide practical business recommendations. Have experience influencing stakeholders and partnering with business leaders to drive performance and decision-making. Bring a continuous improvement mindset with exposure to budgeting, forecasting, process improvement or business transformation initiatives.
