Senior Technology Engineer

Job description

Technology Engineer role focused on advanced technology development and proactive engineering for next-generation high-speed cable solutions targeting AI, hyperscale and data-center applications. The role spans concept generation, design, prototyping, analysis, testing and validation, plus technical RCA and cross-functional problem solving. Focus areas include mechanical design, SI/EMI/EMC, PCB/soldering, materials, thermal and manufacturing, translating emerging technologies into robust, scalable products. Our Team An advanced technology development team working across engineering functions to develop next-generation high-speed interconnect technologies, solve critical product/manufacturing challenges, and proactively develop innovative designs, processes and methods for AI and data-center applications. What You Will Do Create and lead advanced mechanical product development, translate customer/emerging technology needs into concepts and architectures, and own development from feasibility through release. Develop mechanical architectures for cable assemblies, connectors, backshells, shielding, strain relief and thermal solutions. Perform engineering simulations and analysis, build prototypes/POCs, develop DV/PV strategies and lead technical RCA. Collaborate with SI, PCB, EMI/EMC, thermal, materials and manufacturing SMEs, evaluate new materials/processes/technologies, and develop solutions enabling high-speed electrical performance. Lead DOE, tolerance studies and characterization, benchmark competitors and emerging technologies, establish advanced design, simulation and test methods, and provide senior technical leadership and mentoring. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) 3–8 years in R&D, concept development, strong problem-solving ability and methodic approach towards it Worked on Root cause analysis (RCA) and Design of Experiment (DOE) Strong NX/3D modeling and 2D drawing capability Mechanical engineers Experience with product development and product development lifecycle Good knowledge of plastics, sheet metal, machined components and manufacturing/fabrication Experience with DFM/DFMEA, Gd&T tolerance stack-up, FEA, component validation and qualification What Will Put You Ahead At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
