Firewall Migration SME (L3) Lot 5 – Firewall Migration Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore Experience: 10–12 Years Role Summary The Firewall Migration SME (L3) will be responsible for leading firewall migration and network security transformation initiatives across enterprise environments. The role will provide technical leadership for firewall assessment, rule migration, security policy review, migration planning, implementation, testing, and cutover activities while ensuring security, compliance, and business continuity requirements are maintained throughout the migration lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end firewall migration activities including discovery, assessment, planning, migration, validation, and stabilization. • Perform firewall rule analysis, policy rationalization, dependency mapping, and security impact assessments. • Define migration strategies, migration waves, rollback plans, implementation procedures, and cutover activities. • Manage migrations between firewall platforms, data centers, cloud environments, or network transformation programs. • Review and optimize firewall rules, NAT policies, VPN configurations, and security policies to improve security posture and operational efficiency. • Collaborate with network, security, infrastructure, cloud, application, and business teams to support migration planning and execution. • Conduct migration testing, connectivity validation, application verification, and user acceptance activities. • Troubleshoot migration-related issues and lead resolution activities during migration windows and major cutovers. • Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance processes. • Develop migration documentation, implementation guides, firewall standards, and operational handover procedures. • Support risk identification, mitigation planning, executive reporting, and stakeholder communications throughout the migration lifecycle. • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to engineering teams and support continuous improvement initiatives.
