Key Responsibilities End-to-End Payments Analysis Analyse and document current-state and target-state payment flows. Create end-to-end process maps covering: Customer initiation Channel integration Validation Fraud & Screening Routing Clearing & Settlement Accounting Reporting Reconciliation Regulatory Reporting Identify functional dependencies between applications, processes and payment services. Discover and document hidden business rules currently embedded in legacy applications. Create payment domain knowledge repositories that support the NBP transformation. Business & Functional Analysis Elicit, challenge and document business requirements. Translate business requirements into detailed IT requirements and functional specifications. Perform impact assessments across systems, applications and business processes. Analyse complex payment use cases and customer journeys. Produce: Business requirements Functional designs Process models User stories Epics and features Acceptance criteria Support feature decomposition and roadmap definition. NBP Program Support Act as Payments Subject Matter Expert within the NBP programme. Support migration activities from legacy payment platforms to target solutions. Collaborate with architects and domain experts to define target-state capabilities. Identify risks, dependencies and knowledge gaps impacting the NBP roadmap. Contribute to programme governance, design reviews and solution decisions. Stakeholder Management Collaborate closely with: Product Owners Business Representatives Architects Engineers Operations teams Risk & Compliance teams External vendors and partner organizations Facilitate workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions. Drive alignment between business and technology stakeholders. Present analysis findings and design options to senior management. Testing & Validation Support end-to-end testing activities. Validate functional designs against business objectives. Ensure full traceability between requirements, designs and implemented solutions. Assist teams in defining test scenarios based on business processes and payment flows. Required Experience Payments Domain Expertise Strong expertise in one or more of the following payment domains: Domestic Payments SEPA Credit Transfers Instant Payments Direct Debits Batch Payments Open Banking Payment Initiation Clearing & Settlement International Payments SWIFT Payments Cross-border Payments Correspondent Banking High Value Payments Financial Messaging ISO20022 Investigation and Exception Handling Payment Processing Knowledge Knowledge of concepts such as: Payment initiation Routing Screening & sanctions checking Liquidity management Clearing Settlement Reconciliation Regulatory reporting Required Technical Skills Strong understanding of application integration landscapes. Ability to understand APIs, interfaces and message flows. Experience with UML, BPMN or equivalent modelling techniques. Data analysis skills and ability to trace information through multiple systems. Understanding of modern banking architectures and microservices concepts. Experience documenting complex system landscapes and dependencies. Knowledge of SQL is considered an asset.
