Senior DevOps Engineer (Google Cloud Platform) Job Title Senior DevOps Engineer – Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Purpose of the Role To design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), enabling rapid and reliable delivery of business-critical applications. Essential Experience • 5+ years\' experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering. • Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments. • Hands-on experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines. • Experience managing production systems and ensuring service reliability. • Experience supporting Agile and DevOps delivery teams. • Strong troubleshooting and incident management experience in live production environments. • Lloyds GCP CNE Migration Experience (Desirable) Key Responsibilities Desirable • Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer Certification • Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer Behavioural Competencies • Strong stakeholder management skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication. • Ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences. • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability. • Continuous improvement mindset. • Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers. • Collaborative team player with a DevOps-first culture. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain secure, scalable cloud platforms on GCP. • Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines. • Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions. • Improve platform observability and operational resilience. • Collaborate with development teams to embed DevOps practices. • Drive automation to reduce manual effort and improve deployment speed. • Ensure cloud solutions comply with organisational security and governance standards. • Support disaster recovery, backup, and resilience strategies.
