Job description

The DocAve SME is responsible for the administration, configuration, support, and optimization of the DocAve platform for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environments. The role focuses on backup and recovery, migration, governance, content management, compliance, and operational support while ensuring business continuity, data protection, and platform reliability. Key Responsibilities Administer and support AvePoint DocAve components including Backup & Recovery, Migration, Replicator, Governance Automation, and Content Manager. Design, configure, and maintain DocAve solutions to support SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint Server environments. Perform SharePoint and Microsoft 365 content migrations, upgrades, and tenant-to-tenant migrations. Manage backup schedules, retention policies, recovery processes, and disaster recovery testing. Monitor DocAve platform health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve service incidents within SLA timelines. Collaborate with SharePoint, M365, infrastructure, and security teams to implement governance and compliance requirements. Develop and maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, technical documentation, and recovery procedures. Support audits, compliance reviews, and data protection initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimization. Provide technical guidance and SME support for projects involving SharePoint and Microsoft 365 data management. Skill Requirements 5 to 8+ years of experience in SharePoint and Microsoft 365 administration and support. Strong hands-on experience with AvePoint DocAve products and modules. Experience with SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server (2016/2019), and Microsoft 365 administration. Knowledge of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, data migration, and governance best practices. Experience executing SharePoint-to-SharePoint, file share-to-SharePoint, and tenant-to-tenant migrations. Understanding of Microsoft 365 services including OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for administration and automation. Ability to analyze logs, perform root cause analysis, and troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong understanding of security, compliance, data retention, and records management concepts. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills. Other Requirements AvePoint Certified Professional (ACP) or related certifications. Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or Azure certifications. Experience with Fly Migration, ShareGate, Metalogix, or other migration tools. Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI). Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Information Governance, and Compliance Center. Experience in enterprise-scale migration, governance, and modernization projects. ITIL Foundation or Service Management certification. Experience supporting global enterprise environments with stringent compliance and regulatory requirements.
