Job description

This role supports efficient cash application operations by ensuring accurate processing of customer payments and maintaining up-to-date financial records. The individual provides timely resolution of customer queries, participates in troubleshooting activities, and contributes to workflow improvements by identifying process inefficiencies. They collaborate within the team to uphold data quality and deliver high standards of customer service, directly impacting the integrity of financial operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Apply foundational knowledge of cash application tools to process and record customer payments against open invoices, maintaining system accuracy. 2. Reconcile customer accounts using cash application systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies within team guidelines. 3. Maintain accurate records of cash application transactions by updating customer accounts and generating basic transaction reports. 4. Address cash application-related inquiries using customer support tools, providing clear and effective responses through email or chat. 5. Collaborate with internal team members from accounts receivable and customer service to resolve cash application issues. 6. Participate in troubleshooting tasks by applying basic problem-solving skills and escalating unresolved issues to team leads as needed. 7. Use workflow and data management tools to support accurate data entry, updates, and management across multiple internal systems. 8. Assist in identifying operational inefficiencies and contribute suggestions for workflow enhancements within the team. Skill Requirements 1. Basic Understanding Of Cash Application Processes And Associated Financial Systems. 2. Familiarity With Customer Support Platforms For Managing Queries And Communications. 3. Fundamental Knowledge Of Data Entry, Reconciliation, And Transaction Record Maintenance. 4. Good Written Communication Skills For Responding To Customer Inquiries. 5. Developing Proficiency In Identifying Process Gaps And Proposing Basic Improvements. 6. Experience With TeamBased Collaboration Tools. Other Requirements 1. Optional but valuable: Certification in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, or Financial Operations (e.g., Certified Accounts Receivable Professional CARP).
