Job description

The Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist delivers advanced financial planning and analysis activities, translating business needs into high quality forecasts, insights and financial reports. The role applies deep subject matter expertise to interpret financial performance, assess risks and drivers, and support strategic decision making across the Group or Business Unit, while ensuring adherence to governance, policy and regulatory requirements. What you’ll be doing 1.Delivers complex financial planning and analysis activities, including forecasting, budgeting, reporting, PandL management, balance sheet analysis, cash flow insights and cost performance evaluation. 2.Translates business strategies and performance drivers into financial implications, producing high quality analysis, insights and recommendations to inform decision making. 3.Prepares and reviews budgets, forecasts, management accounts and financial statements, applying strong technical and functional expertise. 4.Assesses risks, assumptions and interdependencies underlying forecasts, budgets and business cases, incorporating market trends and macroeconomic factors. 5.Ensures FP and A activities comply with internal policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements, supporting financial integrity and governance. 6.Designs and develops effective reporting, dashboards and analytical outputs, improving visibility of key metrics and enabling consistent, accurate financial insight. 7.Identifies and implements improvements to FP and A processes, enhancing efficiency, data quality, accuracy and automation across reporting and analysis activities. 8.Partners with business stakeholders and Finance colleagues to understand requirements, provide financial insight and influence planning and performance conversations. 9.Tracks emerging trends in financial planning, tools and methodologies, sharing learning and embedding best practice across the FP and A community. 10.Supports the development of investment cases and financial evaluations, interpreting commercial, operational and financial data to inform strategic choices.
