As part of the Accounting Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting through effective reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify process improvement opportunities while maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. You will collaborate with stakeholders across functions and geographies, contribute to finance transformation initiatives, and leverage digital and AI-enabled solutions to enhance reporting efficiency, data quality, and process effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Period-End Close Perform month-end and year-end accounting activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries. Execute account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, variances, and aging items to ensure financial accuracy. Support period-end close processes and ensure adherence to reporting timelines and compliance requirements. Review and validate financial data to ensure completeness, consistency, and quality of reporting outputs. Analyze financial statements and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Prepare reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for management and key stakeholders. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration Partner with internal stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Shared Services functions. Provide accounting expertise and support to business partners on reporting and financial control matters. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to team capability development. Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses, and recommend sustainable solutions. Drive process improvement initiatives focused on standardization, simplification, and increased operational effectiveness. Support Finance Transformation projects aimed at improving service quality, scalability, and productivity. Participate in automation and digitalization initiatives across accounting and reporting processes. AI & Digital Readiness Utilize AI-powered productivity tools, analytics platforms, and automation technologies to improve reporting quality and efficiency. Leverage data analytics and visualization tools to provide meaningful business insights and support decision-making. Actively identify opportunities to automate repetitive activities through intelligent automation and AI solutions. Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability toward emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Process Mining, and Advanced Analytics. Ensure responsible, ethical, and compliant use of AI technologies in line with Allianz governance and data privacy standards. What You Bring Technical Skills Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and period-end close processes. Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Knowledge of accounting standards, financial controls, and reporting frameworks. Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools; SAP experience is an advantage. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting. Ability to work with large datasets and transform data into actionable insights. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills Strong analytical thinking with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to identify root causes, assess risks, and implement effective solutions. Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate financial information clearly. Qualifications Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline. Preferred Qualifications MBA (Finance), CA, CMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification. Additional certifications in Financial Reporting, Data Analytics, Automation, or Digital Finance are desirable. Experience 5–8 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Record-to-Report (R2R), Bookkeeping, or Shared Services Finance. Experience in a multinational, global business services, or financial services environment is preferred. Exposure to process improvement, transformation, or automation projects will be considered an advantage. Additional Requirements Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Strong customer-service orientation and stakeholder focus. Flexibility to work in a global and multicultural environment.
