Job Description Job Description: Analyst - Blockchain Technology & Analytics Visa’s Stablecoin team is building cutting-edge onchain infrastructure to change the way money moves. While onchain solutions began as niche and speculative, they are now transforming how value moves across the global financial ecosystem. Visa is at the forefront of this transition. We are rapidly expanding our stablecoin and tokenized money infrastructure to enhance our network and develop solutions for partners around the world. Visa brings trust, scale, and security to the evolving onchain ecosystem, creating the opportunity for generational impact in payments and beyond. Role Summary We are looking for a technically curious and highly motivated Blockchain Technology & Analytics Analyst to support the evaluation, monitoring, and implementation of blockchain and digital asset technologies. This role combines blockchain data analytics, AI-assisted development and research, technical due diligence, and project execution. The ideal candidate is comfortable working hands-on with blockchain data and infrastructure while also being able to translate technical concepts into clear insights and presentations for business, product, technology, and client stakeholders. The candidate does not need to be a blockchain expert on day one, but should have a strong technical foundation, curiosity about emerging technologies, and the ability to rapidly learn new platforms and tools using AI-assisted development and research. A successful candidate will be someone who can take a relatively open-ended question such as "How is this validator performing?", "How does this blockchain network work?", or "Should we evaluate this technology provider?" and independently turn it into a structured technical investigation. They will be comfortable using AI tools, data, APIs, documentation, and hands-on experimentation to quickly develop an informed point of view, and then communicate the findings clearly to stakeholders. ResponsibilitiesBlockchain Technology ResearchDevelop a working understanding of Ethereum and EVM-compatible blockchains, including transactions, smart contracts, validators, nodes, RPC interfaces, and common infrastructure components. Develop familiarity with blockchain ecosystems outside EVM, particularly Solana and Canton. Use AI-driven research and analysis to evaluate the technical architecture, APIs, integration models, security considerations, and capabilities of blockchain and digital asset technology providers. Conduct technical evaluations of platforms and providers such as Fireblocks, Turnkey, Zerohash, Chainalysis, Notabene, and other emerging blockchain infrastructure and compliance solutions. Compare technology providers and clearly document capabilities, architectural tradeoffs, integration considerations, and potential use cases. Prototyping & Technical ExperimentationAssist with the development and deployment of proofs of concept (POCs) for blockchain and digital asset use cases. Deploy and test applications, blockchain infrastructure, APIs, and supporting components on AWS and virtual machines. Work with engineering and product teams to evaluate new blockchain technologies through hands-on experimentation. Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate prototyping, troubleshooting, documentation, and technology evaluation. Blockchain Analytics & Validator MonitoringUse Claude Code and other AI-assisted development tools to rapidly build dashboards, scripts, and analytical tools for monitoring blockchain infrastructure and validator performance. Develop dashboards and analytics covering metrics such as validator fees and rewards, transaction volumes, transaction counts, aggregate transaction value, and other network performance indicators. Use Allium, SQL, and blockchain datasets to conduct on-chain data analysis and answer product, technical, and business questions. Write and troubleshoot JSON-RPC queries against blockchain nodes and RPC endpoints to retrieve blockchain, transaction, validator, and network information. Analyze blockchain data to identify trends, anomalies, and insights relevant to product development and infrastructure operations. Technical Communication & Stakeholder EngagementTranslate complex blockchain concepts into clear explanations for technical and non-technical audiences. Create executive-ready presentations, architecture diagrams, technical assessments, and recommendations for stakeholders across Visa. Present findings from technology evaluations, blockchain analytics, and POCs to product, engineering, security, and business teams. Support client engagements by contributing to technical discovery and due diligence, researching client technology requirements, and evaluating potential integration approaches. Project & Process ManagementCoordinate cross-functional activities required to advance blockchain technology initiatives from evaluation through POC. Project manage internal Visa processes associated with new technologies, including Security Assessments and other technology review processes. Track dependencies, risks, decisions, action items, and approvals across technical and business stakeholders. Work with internal teams, external technology providers, and clients to move technical evaluations and POCs forward. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Basic understanding of Ethereum, EVM-compatible blockchains, smart contracts, transactions, wallets, nodes, and blockchain validators. Familiarity with blockchain ecosystems such as Solana and/or Canton. Experience writing SQL queries and analyzing structured datasets. Ability to work with REST APIs and JSON-RPC interfaces. Familiarity with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or another scripting/programming language. Experience or strong interest in using AI coding and research tools to accelerate technical work. Basic familiarity with AWS, cloud infrastructure, Linux, and virtual machines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently research unfamiliar technologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple technical workstreams simultaneously. Hands-on experience querying blockchain data using Allium or similar blockchain analytics platforms. Experience interacting directly with Ethereum or other blockchain nodes through JSON-RPC. Exposure to blockchain infrastructure, custody, wallet, compliance, or analytics platforms.
