Our team is a small, collaborative and forward-thinking global team helping to build a culture of excellence across our Managed Services business, supporting around 20,000 colleagues worldwide. The team brings together expertise in areas including Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, process excellence, ITIL, change management, analytics and automation. During your placement, you’ll work alongside experienced improvement, process, quality and change professionals. Together, you’ll help teams understand business challenges, improve the way they work and explore how data, digital tools, automation and AI could support them. You don’t need to be a coder or already be an expert in AI or process improvement. We’re looking for someone who is curious about both technology and people, enjoys learning and wants to turn ideas into meaningful, practical improvements. What you’ll do Your placement will give you exposure to different areas of digital excellence, from exploring emerging technologies and working with data to supporting improvement projects and helping colleagues embrace new ways of working. Exploring what’s possible Explore digital technology, analytics, automation and AI, identifying how they could help solve real business problems. Test new ideas and bring your own perspectives to help colleagues see new possibilities. Turning ideas into improvements Use data, digital tools and structured problem-solving to understand challenges and identify opportunities for improvement. Support improvement projects and lead a project of your own, with coaching and support from the team. Helping people think differently Work with teams to understand their challenges and explore how data, automation and AI could support them. Support workshops, training and coaching, helping make digital ideas accessible to people with different levels of technical experience. Building our culture of excellence Support work across process excellence, performance, quality and continuous improvement. Help share good practice and communicate the impact of improvement activity across our global business. What you’ll need To be an undergraduate student looking to complete a placement year as part of your degree. An interest in AI, digital technology, analytics or automation, with an enthusiasm to learn more about these areas. Curiosity about how things work, how they could work better and how technology can help solve real business problems. An interest in working with information and data, with a willingness to develop your skills. The ability to communicate your ideas clearly and work collaboratively with people from different backgrounds and areas of expertise. A willingness to ask questions, try new things and learn through experience. An open-minded and adaptable approach to problem-solving. We’re much more interested in your potential, curiosity and willingness to learn than expecting you to arrive knowing everything. You don’t need to tick every box. If you’re curious about how people, problem-solving and technology can come together to make work better, we’d love to hear from you. What you can expect Experience working on real business challenges with teams around the world. Practical exposure to AI, analytics, automation and digital ways of working. The opportunity to learn about Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement and structured problem-solving. Coaching and support from experienced improvement, process, quality and change professionals. The opportunity to lead your own improvement project and build your confidence in communication, facilitation and influencing. Meaningful work, genuine responsibility and the opportunity to build your network and contribute your own ideas.
