108233 | Operations | Professional | Non-Executive | Allianz Services | Full-Time | Permanent 130 years of trust, time to shape what's next. Allianz Group is one of the world's leading insurers and asset managers - built on over a century of stability, expertise, and financial strength. Allianz Services is where that legacy meets the future. 8,200+ people. Eight countries. Three continents. We deliver specialized services to clients within Allianz Group, powered by AI, advanced analytics, and a mindset that refuses to stand still. From core insurance operations to engineering and consulting services, we reimagine how insurance works. What truly sets us apart are our people and the trusted partnerships we build, anchored in our values of expertise, integrity, and empowerment. We don't support the business. We shape it. Role overview Allianz Group is developing the Allianz Security Operations Center (ASOC ) as an integrated capability bringing together threat intelligence, travel security, physical security, executive protection, incident response , and crisis management , with the objective of progressively building scalable 24/7 operational capacity for both man-made and natural risks. In a fast-changing and increasingly volatile environment , Allianz considers this capability a strategic imperative requiring concrete action, sustained commitment, and strong operational leadership. The ASOC will strengthen Allianz Group’s ability to anticipate, monitor, respond to, and recover from disruptions by integrating intelligence and operational capabilities and progressively expanding toward continuous, follow-the-sun coverage. It will protect Allianz personnel, physical assets, business operations, and critical functions through consistent monitoring, analysis, escalation, coordination, and reporting. The ASOC is positioned within Allianz Services and functionally reports into Corporate Security’s Group Protection and Resilience Team. Reporting to the ASOC Lead, the ASOC Intelligence Lead will develop, lead, and mature the intelligence function within the ASOC. The role will ensure the effective implementation of the full intelligence cycle — from planning, collection, processing, and analysis to production and dissemination — so that ASOC operational monitoring, escalation, coordination, and senior decision support are informed by prioritized intelligence, structured threat assessment, and timely analysis of business-risk developments relevant to Allianz Group , supporting the progressive development of 24/7 coverage. We are looking for an experienced intelligence leader with deep analytical and investigative expertise, strong stakeholder influence, and the ability to develop a team of analysts, methodologies, tools, data sources, AI-enabled workflows, and partnerships that turn complex threat information into decision-ready insight. What you do: Define and maintain Allianz Group intelligence priorities, collection and analytical requirements, reporting standards , and dissemination workflows in alignment with business priorities. Develop, manage, and mentor a team of intelligence analysts across multiple hubs, setting clear performance expectations, fostering complementary capabilities, and ensuring consistency and quality across deliverables. Provide the analytical framework that enables the ASOC to distinguish between routine monitoring outputs, emerging threats, and issues requiring escalation or senior attention. Leverage AI-enabled tools, automation, and data analytics to improve early warning, pattern detection, prioritization, intelligence production, and the speed and consistency of analytical outputs. Manage the day-to-day ASOC intelligence capabilities, including shift scheduling to ensure the continuity of monitoring. Maintain strategic awareness of global and regional threat environments impacting Allianz personnel, assets, operations, business continuity, reputation, and executive exposure. Oversee the production of strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence products, ensuring clear assessments, confidence levels, implications, and data-supported insights that enable timely decisions and action by operational teams. Deliver situational awareness and intelligence assessments during incidents, crises, and high-impact events to key functions. Develop, standardize, and continuously improve intelligence methodologies tailored to Allianz Group’s risk profile and decision-making needs. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand intelligence needs, anticipate decision requirements, and tailor outputs to strategic and operational use cases. Collaborate closely with cyber security teams to identify, assess, and respond to hybrid threats where physical security, geopolitical risk, cyber activity, reputation risk, and business disruption intersect. Develop a deep knowledge of Allianz operational exposure, leveraging available security assurance management findings to inform intelligence analysis. Maintain and further develop intelligence partnerships with internal stakeholders, law enforcement, intelligence vendors and industry peers. Evaluate, implement, and optimize OSINT tools, vendor platforms, AI-enabled capabilities, investigative techniques, data sources, and best practices . Drive transformation toward greater automation and the effective use of AI-enabled workflows to enhance ASOC efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness. Enable continuous improvement and innovation by identifying and implementing new tools, technologies, processes, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across both intelligence and operational functions. Safeguard sensitive information and enforce adherence to confidentiality, data protection, source-handling, information-sharing, and responsible AI governance protocols. What you bring: Master’s degree in international relations, security studies, intelligence studies, political science, risk management , or a related field, and/or equivalent experience gained in corporate security, government, or comparable intelligence environments. 8+ years of experience in intelligence collection, analysis, and production, with a focus on global business risk, geopolitical risk, protective security, and threat actor assessment. Proven experience leading intelligence teams, programs, methodologies, standards, and the intelligence cycle in the public and/or private sector; previous experience in the financial sector is a plus. Experience using specialist platforms such as Everbridge, Seerist, Dataminr, or equivalent solutions to support the intelligence cycle. Experience investigating threat actors and potential implications for multinational organizations. Strong understanding of the full spectrum of risks affecting people, assets, operations, and reputation, including geopolitical, natural, security, and reputational risks. Extensive expertise in OSINT sources, deep and dark web research. Experience collaborating with diverse teams on hybrid threat scenarios, including the convergence of cyber, physical, geopolitical, and reputational risk indicators. High-level project management skills, to manage competing requirements, and deliver under pressure. Experience developing, leading, and managing multicultural and multinational teams spread across different countries and time zones. Excellent ability to deliver strategic verbal and written briefings to senior stakeholders, influence decision-making, and translate complex threat information into practical business implications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German fluency is a plus. We highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team.
