BUSINESS DELIVERY MANAGER , CARE & RECOVERY PROGRAM - PERSONAL INJURY & COMMERCIAL – MELBOURNE, VIC (12-MONTH CONTRACT ROLE) At Allianz, we’re proud to be named one of the Best Workplaces in Australia 2026 and a Great Place to Work. As a leading global insurance and asset management brand, we prioritise care for our customers, the planet, and each other. We hire the very best people to further our commitment to caring and securing the future for our customers. We offer an inclusive workplace where everyone feels like they belong, while promoting a culture of lifelong learning, development, and global mobility. Join us and share your ideas, be inspired, give back to the community and feel proud to be a part of an organisation doing meaningful work that matters while supporting sustainability, mental health, and well-being. Let’s care for tomorrow, so we can create a better future together, for everyone. The primary purpose of the role is to drive successful delivery of the Care & Recovery Program - a significant Victorian workers' compensation reform. As Business Delivery Manager, you'll be the critical interface between Allianz (as a Delivery Partner/Agent) and the CRP, ensuring Allianz is connected, ready, and accountable across every phase of the transformation. The role focuses on delivering business value, optimising process, and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams to achieve measurable outcomes. About the Care & Recovery Program (CRP) The Care & Recovery Program (CRP) is a Victoria-wide workers' compensation transformation program led by Return to Work (RTW) Victoria. The program spans a multi-year delivery timeline — from Discover & Validate through Design & Build, Deploy, and Go-Live — with full implementation running from 2026 through to 2029. The CRP is designed to transform the way injured workers are supported: reducing harm, improving Return to Work (RTW) outcomes, and modernising the systems, processes, and data that underpin the Victorian workers' compensation scheme. About the role The Business Delivery Manager acts as the Program Manager for Allianz within the Care & Recovery Program (CRP). You will drive Allianz's end-to-end readiness and delivery across all five workstreams, managing the intersection of program delivery, organisational change, and stakeholder accountability. 1. Understanding the Business Develop and maintain a deep, current understanding of Allianz's operating model, business challenges, and the impacts of the CRP transformation on our people, processes, systems, and data within the Victorian workers' compensation environment. Map business impacts across Allianz's operations and identify areas requiring focused readiness effort Provide business context to the CRP to ensure program outputs are practically actionable Represent Allianz's operational realities in program governance forums 2. Connecting the Program to the Organisation Serve as the two-way conduit between the Care & Recovery Program (CRP) and Allianz — ensuring program intelligence flows into the business, and business needs are represented at the program level. Maintain active participation in CRP engagement forums and Return to Work (RTW) Victoria governance sessions Translate CRP artefacts, decisions, and directions into clear internal communications and actions Ensure Allianz's requirements, risks, and dependencies are visible within the CRP program structure 3. Translating Strategy into Action Convert CRP program outputs and strategic direction into concrete, time-bound organisational plans that drive delivery across all five workstreams. Develop and manage integrated action plans across Change & Implementation, Product & Process, Data & Reporting, Technology & Testing, and RTW Victoria workstreams Oversee end-to-end delivery of business initiatives: on time, within scope, and within budget Maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation to support delivery milestones Monitor delivery performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide timely reporting to leadership 4. Driving Readiness and Adoption Lead Allianz's organisational readiness across people, process, technology, and data — ensuring the business is prepared to adopt CRP changes at every stage of deployment. Conduct and own impact assessments across all CRP workstreams Develop and execute readiness, change, and learning plans in alignment with CRP timelines Coordinate Allianz's participation in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and technology integration activities Drive deployment planning and manage go-live preparation across all impacted teams 5. Delivering Organisational Accountability Act as Allianz's single accountable owner for the CRP, coordinating delivery participation across teams, managing risks, dependencies, and governance obligations throughout the program lifecycle. Proactively identify and mitigate risks, and manage cross-team dependencies Engage stakeholders through transparent communication and structured governance Support change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems Manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reporting About you Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Project Management, with proven track record of successfully leading and delivering project or initiative outcomes Sound understanding of project governance frameworks and project management methodologies Highly organised with strong planning capabilities, attention to detail, and accuracy — even when working under pressure to meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence Flexible and prepared to work in a dynamic environment, responding effectively to emerging risks, project challenges, and shifting priorities.
