This position supervises shift operations, ensures compliance with operating procedures and safety requirements, and supports the timely production of products. This role requires working in shifts. Main Responsibilities Safety Compliance Follow all applicable safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Ensure that operators properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices. Participate in safety training and emergency response activities. Serve as an active member of the Emergency Response Team and receive training to serve as an Incident Commander for safety-related incidents. Equipment and Control System Operation Supervise and ensure the proper operation and routine maintenance of production equipment and machinery. Monitor and adjust process and control system parameters in accordance with approved operating procedures. Follow established manufacturing procedures and protocols. Identify abnormal operating conditions and take appropriate corrective actions. Quality Control Ensure that products meet applicable quality standards and specifications. Identify quality deviations and coordinate appropriate corrective actions with the relevant departments. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and production issues. Investigate the root causes of operational problems. Implement or coordinate corrective actions to minimize production downtime. Maintenance Ensure that operators perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance activities. Coordinate with the Maintenance team regarding equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. Ensure that maintenance activities are performed safely and in accordance with approved procedures. Documentation Assist the Production Team Leader in developing and updating operating procedures. Ensure that operators follow approved procedures and complete the required operating records. Maintain accurate shift handover and production records. Collaboration and Training Collaborate with Production Engineers, Quality personnel, Maintenance, and the Production Team Leader to optimize operations and resolve issues. Support the management of production activities during the assigned shift. Assist with employee training, qualification, and performance development. Work Environment and 5S Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production environment. Ensure that 5S activities are properly implemented and maintained by operators. Report unsafe conditions and take appropriate actions to maintain workplace standards. Education and Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Chemical Engineering is preferred. Work Experience At least five years of experience in a production role, preferably in a chemical manufacturing plant. More than three years of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred. Experience in chemical manufacturing, hazardous chemical handling, or distillation column operation is preferred. Relevant certifications, such as forklift operation, pressure vessel operation, fixed crane operation, or high-pressure gas safety supervision, are preferred. Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good written and verbal communication skills in the local language; English proficiency is preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience reading, writing, and developing operating procedures is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel is required.
