2 nd Shift Maintenance Trainee Your Job Georgia-Pacific is seeking a 2 nd shift Maintenance Trainee to join our Albion team. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about learning skilled maintenance and want to develop the technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and safe work practices needed to become a Maintenance Technician. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and structured development, you will help support the reliability and performance of our corrugator operation while building a rewarding career in manufacturing. Shift Currently hiring for 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm) Employees must be available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends. Salary & Benefits · Starting pay is $ 30.00/hr + $1.50/hr shift differential Performance Pay Bonuses (paid out quarterly) 80 hours of vacation each year, available after the first 6 months of employment Heath Insurance (BCBS – Anthem) Dental Insurance (Delta Dental) Vision (VSP) 401k contributions and employer match Educational assistance 10 paid holidays Our Team The Maintenance team partners closely with operations to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support a safe, productive workplace. This position offers the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians while gaining exposure to a wide range of mechanical and industrial systems. What You Will Do Learn the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of corrugator equipment and supporting systems Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability Support maintenance technicians during repairs, rebuilds, outages, and troubleshooting activities Develop skills related to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Learn proper maintenance practices including lubrication, bearing replacement, alignment, and power transmission maintenance Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics Document maintenance activities and maintain tools and equipment in a safe and organized manner Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, reliability, quality, and productivity Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, maintenance, mechanical, agricultural, military, or technical environment; OR completion of technical training in a related field Familiarity with basic mechanical tasks and safely handling hand tools What Will Put You Ahead Maintenance, industrial, mechanical, automotive, agricultural equipment, or military maintenance experience Technical school coursework or certifications related to industrial maintenance Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment Experience reading blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings Knowledge of conveyors, steam systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, or industrial manufacturing equipment Our Benefits Our goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
