Role Category Technical Lead for enterprise telephony solutions, including TOIP, Teams Phone, Direct Routing, SBC, SIP trunks and associated services integrated with Microsoft 365. Activities Performed Design the technical architecture for Teams and TOIP telephony solutions. Build, maintain and evolve the product technical roadmap. Ensure performance, quality, resilience and service availability. Drive monitoring, automation and industrialization for telephony services. Supervise SBCs, SIP trunks, numbering plans and Direct Routing. Handle integration, deployment, operations and level 3 support. Ensure QoS, media quality, reporting, security and compliance across the voice landscape. Work with Product Owner, network, Teams, Exchange, cybersecurity and architecture teams. Mentor engineers and contribute to complex incident resolution and post-incident reviews. Deliverables Telephony technical roadmap. Detailed architecture and technical documentation. Test and technical validation plans. Automation and industrialization scripts. Telephony KPIs covering QoS, media quality and availability. Post-incident reports and improvement plans. Requirements Mandatory Skills / Required Competencies Advanced TOIP, SIP, RTP and QoS knowledge Microsoft Teams Phone expertise Direct Routing, SBC and SIP trunk administration Call plans and numbering policies Teams / SBC / operator interoperability Network knowledge: VoIP, routing, NAT, firewall and traffic prioritization PowerShell, JSON and telephony automation scripting Monitoring of SBC, Teams QoS and SIP services Complex voice incident troubleshooting using SBC logs, SIP traces and Teams diagnostics Telephony security: encryption, certificates, SBC hardening and anti-fraud controls Preferred Skills / Exposure Advanced SBC manufacturer knowledge: Audiocodes, Oracle, Ribbon or equivalent On-premise or hybrid VOIP exposure: Cisco CUCM, Avaya, Alcatel-Lucent, Mitel or equivalent Python, Teams Calling APIs and advanced automation tooling Data and observability: Power BI, KQL, custom QoS dashboards Advanced VoIP protocols: SRTP, ICE, STUN/TURN, DSCP Technical project coordination in multi-squad or multi-provider environments Agile product contribution and ITIL process knowledge FinOps or cost optimization awareness for Teams Phone, SBC and SIP operators Application Landscape / Environment Enterprise telephony and unified communications Microsoft 365 ecosystem with Teams Phone TOIP, Direct Routing, SBC, SIP trunks, numbering plans and operators Network, Exchange, cybersecurity and architecture interfaces Mode of Intervention / Experience Senior technical lead profile for global enterprise telephony services, with strong architecture, operations and incident-management expertise.
