This position reports to: Verification Manager __ Your role and responsibilities We are looking for a Senior Verification Engineer to join our team at ABB Oy, High Power division in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. Our team is responsible for verification of new frequency converters. We perform R&D and type tests for unreleased high-power, low and medium voltage drives in our world-class R&D laboratories. The work model for the role is: On-site Your responsibilities: Executing R&D and type tests for new frequency converters Building test setups, executing and reporting tests Supporting problem solving of frequency converter hardware and software related issues Working in close co-operation with different design teams, approval engineers and authorities Your background: M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering Proven experience in the testing of frequency converters, electrical installation, commissioning or industrial automation systems Knowledge of any of the following is considered an advantage:Frequency converter design and control PLCs and process automation EMC testing Product safety standards of frequency converters Capability and interest in training and coaching other people Good spoken and written skills in Finnish and English are necessary in this role Willingness for occasional travelling A proactive working attitude Benefits Our culture and benefits reflect our values: courage, care, curiosity and collaboration.
