Category Buyer - Indirect Procurement (Strategic Sourcing) (Polish and English language) In this role, you will be the main point of contact for all procurement matters ensuring that the purchasing needs of technical goods and services for BASF Polska are met. In indirect procurement, we create sustainable value for our business as a globally connected partner. Through innovative procurement strategies and close collaboration with our business partners, we ensure efficient, resilient and sustainable value chains. In doing so, we combine market and cost expertise with entrepreneurial thinking, realize cost-saving potential as well as make a measurable contribution to innovation, competitiveness and sustainability. RESPONSIBILITIES o Execute category strategies locally and ensure alignment with global procurement objectives. o Understand iBP (internal Business Partner) requirements and ensure a reliable, competitive and sustainable supply of indirect goods and services. o Lead local sourcing activities, including tenders, negotiations, contract awards and local contract implementation o Act as the key procurement contact for internal Business partners in BASF Polska o Collaborate closely with business, operations and global category managers to align local requirements with strategic sourcing initiatives (ensuring transparent communication and processes, following procurement guidelines) o Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, monitor supplier performance and use market intelligence to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. o Identify and implement cost-saving and value-creation opportunities through bundling, standardization and other procurement measures. Proactive action from you is required in order to bring new ideas o Create and monitor purchase orders in SAP/ S/4HANA and support relevant S2C and P2P activities. QUALIFICATIONS o A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business or Engineering or related field required o Relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management or a related field o knowledge of tendering and procurement processes, supplier management, negotiations and cost analysis. o Native-level Polish and fluent English o Practical experience with SAP or SAP S/4HANA and very good Microsoft Office skills. o Strong stakeholder-management, communication, negotiation and analytical skills. o A pragmatic, solution-oriented and entrepreneurial approach. o Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across functions. o Availability for occasional travel within Europe.
