Job Summary Omnissa Horizon Engineer - L2 and L3 Job Descriptions Omnissa Horizon Engineer - L2 Experience: 3-5 Years The Horizon L2 Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day administration, monitoring, and support of the Omnissa Horizon VDI environment. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with Horizon infrastructure components, profile management, and end-user support. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Omnissa Horizon desktop and application delivery environments. Manage Horizon Connection Servers, Unified Access Gateways (UAG), desktop pools, and Instant Clone environments. Troubleshoot Horizon client connectivity, desktop launch, user profile, and application issues. Support FSLogix, and Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) solutions. Monitor the health and performance of Horizon infrastructure and user sessions. Perform golden image maintenance, patching, and routine system updates. Resolve incidents and service requests within SLA timelines. Collaborate with VMware, Windows, Networking, and AD teams to resolve infrastructure issues. Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles. Participate in on-call and after-hours support activities as required. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of experience supporting VMware/Omnissa Horizon environments. Hands-on experience with Horizon 7/8 administration. Experience with Instant Clones, FSLogix, and DEM. Knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter. Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Server administration. Omnissa Horizon Engineer - L3 Experience: 6+ Years The Horizon L3 Engineer will serve as a technical lead responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and advanced troubleshooting of Omnissa Horizon environments. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support enterprise-scale Omnissa Horizon environments. Lead administration of Connection Servers, UAGs, Instant Clones, FSLogix, and DEM platforms. Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex VDI issues. Design and support Cloud Pod Architecture (CPA), Global Entitlements, and multi-site deployments. Lead Horizon upgrades, migrations, patching initiatives, and platform modernization projects. Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions. Develop automation solutions using PowerShell and PowerCLI. Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and environment optimization. Review security configurations, certificate management, and Horizon hardening standards. Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide technical leadership during major incidents. Create architecture documents, standard operating procedures, and technical recommendations. Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams on strategic transformation initiatives.
