SDET - UI Test Automation ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or WebDriverIO.Create and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.Develop reusable automation components, utilities, and libraries.Validate UI functionality, user workflows, navigation, and responsive behavior.Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing.Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and work closely with developers for resolution.Maintain test data and automated test environments.Ensure automation coverage for regression, smoke, and sanity testing.Improve framework reliability, execution speed, and maintainability.API Test Automation ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop API automation frameworks using tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, ReadyAPI, or similar technologies.Develop automated test scripts for REST and GraphQL APIs.Validate API functionality, request/response schemas, business rules, and data integrity.Perform API integration, contract, and end-to-end testing.Automate authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys.Validate error handling, response codes, and security requirements.Execute database validations to verify backend data consistency.Create and manage API test data and environments.Analyze API logs and troubleshoot service integration issues.Integrate API automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.Quality Engineering ResponsibilitiesParticipate in requirement reviews and provide testability feedback.Define test strategies, test plans, and automation roadmaps.Estimate automation effort and contribute to sprint planning activities.Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Business Analysts.Track, report, and monitor defects throughout the SDLC.Ensure adherence to coding standards, automation best practices, and quality processes.Drive shift-left testing by participating early in the development lifecycle.Mentor junior QA/Automation engineers and conduct code reviews.Support performance, accessibility, and security testing initiatives when required.Continuously evaluate and adopt new testing tools and technologies. Skill Requirements Key Skills ExpectedStrong programming knowledge in Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar languages.Hands-on experience with UI automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).Strong API automation experience (Rest Assured, Postman, Karate).Knowledge of SQL and database testing.Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git).Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies is an advantage.
