As a Application Developer , you will support our customers in developing innovative solutions for challenging optimization and simulation problems while working at the intersection of business and technology. Your Responsibilities Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment on innovative customer projects. Develop mathematical models and algorithms to solve complex optimization challenges. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical and mathematical solution approaches. Design use cases and solution concepts for customers using quantum computing technologies. Contribute to projects in areas such as: Routing and route optimization Logistics and transportation planning Scenario and risk analysis Portfolio optimization Resource and capacity planning Research scientific publications and emerging trends in quantum computing and assess their applicability to customer projects. Your Profile Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Mathematics Physics Computer Science Telecommunications Engineering Or a comparable field of study Master's degree with a specialization in Quantum Computing At least one year of professional experience, ideally within the IT, technology, or consulting industry Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken Strong programming skills and hands-on experience with Python Broad knowledge of quantum algorithms and quantum information theory Experience in modeling Ising and QUBO problems Experience with quantum computing SDKs and related development environments Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and effectively to different audiences Ability to quickly analyze and evaluate scientific publications and practical application papers in the field of quantum computing Ability to derive technical solution approaches from abstract business requirements and constraints What Sets You Apart Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies Independent and structured way of working Strong analytical thinking skills High customer orientation Team spirit and excellent communication skills Enjoyment of collaborating with customers and colleagues Passion for solving complex challenges across a variety of industries What we offer you: Flexible working hours and mobile working options that enable an optimal balance between family, leisure, and career through autonomy and trust, with no fixed office days.
