Lead Business Analyst

Job description

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst who can work closely with business stakeholders, end users, Product Owners, and technical teams to translate business needs into clear and actionable IT requirements. The role will support both new IT initiatives and enhancements, as well as continuous improvement and runtime operations. Key Responsibilities · Perform business analysis, requirement elicitation, requirement documentation, gap analysis, and impact analysis. · Analyze and document functional and non-functional requirements, business rules, process flows, use cases, and acceptance criteria. · Work closely with business stakeholders and end users to understand business needs, pain points, and expected outcomes. · Translate business requirements into clear requirements/user stories for development and technical teams. · Facilitate requirement discussions, workshops, walkthroughs, and clarification sessions with business and IT stakeholders. · Support solution assessment and impact analysis across applications, integrations, processes, and dependent systems. · Manage requirements and backlog using Jira and Confluence, ensuring traceability from requirements through implementation. · Support Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, requirement clarification, demos, and acceptance activities. · Support testing activities by reviewing test scenarios/test cases, ensuring adequate requirement coverage and quality. · Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including business-user coordination, defect clarification, and acceptance. · Work closely with end users and IT teams for runtime/operational support, including analysis and classification of functional versus technical issues. · Work with ServiceNow/ITSM processes for incident, request, problem, and change-related activities as applicable. · Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and continuous improvement to minimize user disruption and operational inefficiencies. · Create and maintain clear process documentation, knowledge articles, user guides, training material, and supporting videos. · Collaborate effectively across business, development, QA, operations, architecture, and other cross-functional teams. Skill Requirements · Minimum 6+ years of Business Analysis experience in IT/software projects. · Strong experience in requirement elicitation, functional analysis, gap/impact analysis, and non-functional requirement analysis. · Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle. · Ability to understand business problems and distinguish between business/functional and technical issues. · Experience working directly with business stakeholders and end users. · Good understanding of testing lifecycle, UAT, test cases, and defect management. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams. · Ability to influence and drive change collaboratively across stakeholders. Must-Have Tools · Jira · Confluence · ServiceNow · MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook · SharePoint Good to Have · Experience in the Automotive / Commercial Vehicle / Manufacturing industry. · Exposure to Connected Vehicle / Telematics / Digital Services environments. · Understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS. · Exposure to DevSecOps tools and practices. · Experience with visualization/reporting tools such as Power BI or Qlik Sense. · Experience working with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
