Job description
Job Description: Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Commodity Buyer (f/m) to join our Engineering Procurement (PJE) department based in Toulouse, France. Fully integrated in the Procurement organization, General Procurement (GP) procures goods and services on behalf of all Airbus Divisions across 40 sites worldwide. Within GP, Engineering Procurement (PJE) manages a €1.7B spend for Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Customer Services, playing a pivotal role in DDMS (Digital Design, Manufacturing and Services) sourcing transformations. Joining the Engineering Non Specific Design Sub-Commodity (PJEP) team, you will take ownership of high-visibility, transnational, and multi-divisional procurement initiatives interfacing closely with key business stakeholders. Your working environment: Global capital of aeronautics and European capital for space research, Toulouse is a dynamic city in the southwest of France served by an international airport. Ideally located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean and close to the Pyrenees mountains, it offers plenty of options for outdoor activities! How we care for you: Financial rewards: Attractive salary, agreements on success and profit-sharing schemes, employee savings plan abounded by Airbus, and employee stock purchase plan on a voluntary basis. Work / Life Balance: Extra days off for special occasions, holiday transfer options, and a staff council offering cultural, sporting, and social activities. Wellbeing / Health: Comprehensive healthcare coverage (disability, invalidity, death), on-site health services center, concierge services, gym facilities, and carpooling options depending on the site. Individual development: Tailored upskilling opportunities, over 10,000 e-learning courses in free access, professional certifications, expert career paths, accelerated leadership development, and international mobility. At Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and flexibly. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking. Your challenges: Lead and deliver high-value, transnational, and multi-divisional procurement projects and calls for tenders. Steer commercial relationships with key suppliers and implement mitigation measures to protect against contractual risks. Evaluate supplier performance alongside Engineering teams and orchestrate Contract Review Meetings (CRM). Represent the non-specific design scope within the Multi-Functional Team (MDT), integrating inputs from Ground and Flight Test activities and deploying commodity strategies. Drive cross-divisional synergies, end-to-end sourcing alignment, and high-impact communication with both Procurement and Engineering executive management. Your boarding pass: Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. Proven professional track record in Procurement with strong contract management, supplier negotiation, and project management capabilities. Solid business and financial acumen (cost breakdown analysis, business case development, and KPI tracking). Demonstrated ability to collaborate transparently within complex, technical engineering environments. Fluency in English and French is mandatory (negotiation level). Not a 100% match? No worries! Airbus supports your personal growth with customized development solutions. Take your career to a new level and apply online now!
