Your Role As a Junior Power BI Developer at Capgemini , you will support the design, development, and maintenance of business intelligence solutions that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. You will work closely with business users, analysts, and data engineering teams to develop reports, dashboards, and data models that provide actionable insights across the organization. Responsibilities & Scope Business Intelligence & Reporting Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards . Create interactive visualizations and KPI dashboards that support business reporting needs. Transform business requirements into meaningful reports and analytical solutions. Assist in the design and implementation of self-service reporting capabilities. Data Modeling & Analytics Develop and maintain Power BI data models using industry best practices. Create and optimize calculations, measures, and KPIs using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) . Connect and integrate data from multiple sources, including: SQL Databases Excel Files SharePoint Cloud-Based Data Sources Support data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance activities. Report Development & Optimization Troubleshoot reporting issues and perform root-cause analysis. Optimize dashboard performance and improve report usability. Assist with testing and validation activities to ensure report accuracy and reliability. Support report deployment and user acceptance testing (UAT). Collaboration & Documentation Gather and document reporting requirements from business stakeholders. Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and business users to deliver analytics solutions. Create and maintain technical and functional documentation for dashboards, reports, and data sources. Provide end-user support and basic training for Power BI reports and reporting tools. Qualifications & Preferred Skills Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in: Computer Science Information Systems Business Analytics Data Analytics Engineering Or a related field 0-2 years of experience in: Power BI Development Reporting Business Intelligence Data Analytics Required Skills Power BI & Reporting Experience creating Power BI dashboards and reports. Understanding of data visualization principles and reporting best practices. Ability to create meaningful KPIs and business-focused visualizations. Data Modeling & SQL Basic understanding of relational database concepts. Knowledge of data modeling principles. Experience using SQL for querying and analyzing data. Basic knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). Data Analysis Experience working with datasets and performing basic data validation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and commitment to data quality. Microsoft Tools Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience working with data within Microsoft business applications. Communication & Collaboration Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Ability to gather and understand reporting requirements from business stakeholders. Preferred Skills Experience with Power Query (M Language) . Familiarity with: Microsoft Fabric Azure Data Services Power Platform Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts. Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies. Basic knowledge of: Python PowerShell Other scripting languages Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification or willingness to obtain certification.
