Job Description – DC Migration Engineer (L2) Lot 5 – Data Centre Migration Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore Experience: 5–7 Years Role Summary The DC Migration Engineer (L2) will support data centre migration and infrastructure transformation initiatives involving servers, storage, networks, databases, middleware, and applications. The role will be responsible for migration planning, dependency analysis, infrastructure discovery, migration execution, testing, and operational readiness activities to ensure successful migration with minimal business disruption. Key Responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities • Support end-to-end data centre migration activities including assessment, planning, migration, testing, cutover, and stabilization. • Perform infrastructure discovery, server inventory analysis, dependency mapping, and migration readiness assessments. • Assist in preparing migration plans, runbooks, rollback procedures, cutover schedules, and implementation checklists. • Coordinate with infrastructure, network, storage, database, middleware, cloud, and application teams during migration activities. • Support migration of physical, virtual, and cloud-hosted workloads across data centre environments. • Participate in migration testing, validation, application verification, and business sign-off activities. • Monitor migration risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and communication. • Support infrastructure modernization initiatives including virtualization, cloud migration, platform refresh, and consolidation programs. • Troubleshoot migration-related technical issues and support cutover activities during migration windows. • Develop and maintain migration documentation, operational procedures, architecture diagrams, and knowledge transfer artifacts. • Collaborate with project teams and service owners to ensure operational readiness and successful transition into BAU support. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to migration methodologies, automation, and operational efficiencies.
