Process & Automation Streamline processes and automate routine tasks for improved efficiency and cost savings. 💼 About the Job We are looking for a Backup Expert with a strong understanding of cyber recovery to expand and strengthen the Digital Foundations team, based in our Indian hub. Main Responsibilities • Exercise expertise for incident troubleshooting and problem solving with operational teams, with a strong focus on cyber security and cyber resiliency • Collaborate with operations teams, business partners, and experts for any backup infrastructure-related matter • Implement and document existing/new solutions and coordinate Improvement Plans to ensure and maintain the robustness (availability, reliability, efficiency, performance) of global infrastructures • Ensure backup and recovery solutions meet Sanofi standards; verify that infrastructure services are delivered in a consistent and quality-compliant manner, aligned with established processes, methodologies, and best practices • Following the direction of the Backup Owner, contribute to developing effective and optimized solutions and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure delivery of a complete operational service delivering value to the business • Contribute as a developer in Agile Projects in a complex global environment • Practice cloud expertise to manage modern cloud backup technologies • Work to achieve common goals within Digital Foundations, managing close relationships with all stakeholders to ensure alignment with global objectives Key Focus Areas 1. Backup Expert Contribution Contribute as a backup expert with backup and cyber security teams globally to ensure completeness and robustness of infrastructures. 2. Resilient Backup Solutions Implement resilient backup solutions to enable Sanofi's Cyber Recovery strategy. 3. Cyber Recovery Processes Serve as a key Backup team contributor to Cyber Recovery processes globally. Execute Cyber Recovery Strategy • Facilitate the cyber recovery strategy by actively contributing to implement retained solutions • Execute backup transformation under the supervision of the backup owner Optimize Backup Environment • Automate the backup environment with ad-hoc technologies and end-to-end automation • Keep infrastructure up to date and reduce the support burden Obsolescence Management • Manage obsolescence and technical debt to mitigate operational and security risk Security Posture • Monitor the security level across different backup technologies 🙋 About You Experience • 5+ years of direct, progressive hands-on backup management experience as a backup administrator, preferably in a large global environment • Experience in Mass Restore & Recovery at large scale Soft Skills Autonomy and Networking • Ability to work in a global team environment • Collaborative team member with proven ability to assist in large, complex, and diverse services • Self-motivated with the ability to successfully prioritize tasks and work independently • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Think Out of the Box • Creative and able to challenge the status quo • Understands the impact that new solutions can have on existing systems/organizations • Engages expertise needed to solve problems • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and integrate them into a distributed environment Communication • Proven communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) in a networked organizational environment, for both Digital and non-Digital audiences • International cultural awareness, respect for diversity, and ability to effectively work in a global, multi-national matrix organization Technical Skills • In-depth understanding of backup technologies, specifically Commvault, in large-scale dispersed environments (Acronis experience is a plus) • Expertise and knowledge of modern cloud backup technologies (Azure Backup, AWS Backup, etc.) • Experience with Commvault for massive restore and Integrated Recovery Environments • Experience in backup monitoring at large scale in a multi-backup tools context (preferably using Bocada and ServiceNow) • Technical background in digital technologies for infrastructures with strong performance, maintainability, scalability, availability, security, and accessibility requirements • Experience in automation to enhance operations (Ansible, Terraform, Python, Commvault API, etc.) • Knowledge of Agile frameworks to develop effectively and efficiently --- Education • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Languages • Fluency in English is mandatory 🚀 Development Opportunities When mastering backup technologies, you will play a major role in backup and cyber recovery strategies — recommending, architecting, and designing new solutions to deliver stronger, better services.
