Job Description – Compiler Architecture Expert (Architecture Review Specialist) Job Title Compiler Architecture Expert / Compiler Architect (Architecture Review & Design Assurance) Location Hyderabad / Bangalore / Chennai (or as per project requirement) Experience 15+ Years Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Compiler Architecture Expert to lead architecture reviews, design assessments, and performance optimization initiatives for compiler toolchains and language-processing systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in compiler internals, programming language implementation, code generation, optimization techniques, and software architecture governance. The role involves evaluating compiler architectures, identifying technical risks, validating design decisions, proposing improvements, and providing technical leadership across development teams building next-generation compiler and toolchain solutions. Key Responsibilities Architecture Review & Governance Conduct comprehensive architecture reviews for compiler frameworks, toolchains, and language runtimes. Assess system designs for scalability, maintainability, extensibility, and performance. Define architecture review checklists, standards, and best practices. Evaluate technical decisions and provide recommendations to address architectural gaps. Review design documents, technical specifications, and implementation approaches. Compiler Design & Development Evaluate compiler front-end, middle-end, and back-end architectures. Review parsing, lexical analysis, semantic analysis, and intermediate representation (IR) designs. Assess code generation strategies and optimization frameworks. Evaluate compiler pipeline efficiency and execution flow. Review integration approaches with build systems, debuggers, and toolchains. Performance & Optimization Analyze compiler performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities. Assess register allocation, instruction scheduling, loop optimizations, and memory utilization. Recommend improvements for compile-time and runtime performance. Evaluate parallel compilation and incremental compilation techniques. Technology Leadership Mentor engineering teams on compiler architecture principles. Drive technical discussions with architects, product owners, and engineering leaders. Provide guidance on language design and compiler implementation strategies. Lead design review forums and architecture governance boards. Risk Assessment & Quality Assurance Identify architectural risks, technical debt, and security concerns. Define mitigation plans and review compliance against architecture standards. Conduct design audits and architecture health assessments. Review compiler testing strategies and validation frameworks. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise Strong expertise in compiler architecture and design principles.
